One thing people ask me about a lot is red light therapy.

My biggest piece of advice is that consistency matters way more than people think. If you’re not realistically going to use it consistently multiple times a week over several weeks, I honestly don’t think it’s worth investing your time or money into. The results tend to build gradually over time rather than all at once, so sporadic use usually doesn’t get people very far.

At the same time, I think red light therapy is absolutely worth the investment when it’s used correctly. For redness, irritation, sensitive skin, and overall skin health, it’s one of the few skincare tools I genuinely think lives up to the attention around it.

I think skincare works best when you look at it from multiple angles instead of just chasing quick changes.

One thing I think about a lot is not just where someone’s skin is at currently, but where it’s headed over time.

Of course I care about what’s happening in the moment, but I’m also thinking about maintenance, long-term skin health, and realistic ways to help someone maintain their results.

One thing I notice a lot is people assuming dull skin is always a product problem, when sometimes it’s simply that dead skin cells are no longer shedding as efficiently as they once did.

Natural exfoliation slows down gradually with age, which is one of the reasons I tend to look at dermaplaning more as a maintenance tool than just a “glow” treatment.

After taking some time to recover from surgery, I’m happy to say I’m officially back to work. 🤍

I wanted to wait to announce it until I was sure my body was ready, and after easing back into a busy week of appointments, I’m feeling really good and grateful to be back in the treatment room.

My procedure went well, recovery has been going smoothly, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again and getting back into the rhythm of caring for my clients.

Thank you to everyone who checked in on me, reached out, or gave me patience while I recovered. It meant more than you know.

Appointments are open again, and I can’t wait to see you all soon.

Last call before I step away for a few weeks:

I’ll be out of the treatment room starting April 10 for a planned procedure and recovery.

I have a few openings left this Thursday, along with some limited availability the following week.

After that, I’ll be out for about 3–4 weeks.

If you’ve been meaning to come in, I’d love to see you before I’m out.

If you’ve been trying to find an appointment with me and noticed I’m booking further out than usual, here’s why:

I’ll be out of the treatment room for a few weeks starting April 10 for a planned procedure and recovery.

I still have some openings before then, so if you’ve been thinking about coming in, this would be the time to get on the schedule.

I’ll be back after about 3–4 weeks and will return to my normal schedule. If you need help finding a time, just message me.

Most people are surprised to learn that microneedling is usually done as a series, not just a single appointment.

Most people start with 3 sessions spaced about 4–6 weeks apart.

Each treatment builds on the last, with the depth increased gradually as the skin adapts and tolerates more stimulation over time.

In another post, I’ll share what usually happens after the initial series and how people maintain their results.

Thank you for all the kind messages about the new space.
Still getting acquainted over here.
