Protect yourself against pneumonia this August!

If you're 50 or older, stop by one of our Bay Pines VA Healthcare System locations every Monday and Friday in August from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to see if you qualify for a pneumonia vaccine—no appointment needed.

Our nursing team will review your medical record and let you know if you're eligible.

Locations:

• C.W.Y. VA Medical Center – waiting area on the first floor of building 100, outside of MOD D
• Lee County Healthcare Center – first floor lobby, between 1b desk and the canteen
• All other Bay Pines VA Clinics – check in at the front desk

Already received your pneumonia vaccine outside VA? Please let us know so we can update your medical record.

Contact your PACT (Patient Aligned Care Team) team to learn more about whether the pneumonia vaccine is right for you.

Your health matters — take a few minutes to help protect yourself from serious illness.

Veterans facing PTSD, moral injury, military sexual trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, or spiritual struggles are invited to find support through the Bay Pines VA Chaplain Support Program for Veterans.

Led by our Chaplain Service Team, this monthly group uses an evidence-based curriculum to help Veterans build resilience, find meaning, and move toward hope and healing alongside others who understand.

The program is held every second week of the month on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a break for lunch. Sessions take place on the C.W.Y. VAMC Campus in the 5C Chapel, which is in building 100, 5th floor, room 5C-156.

Interested Veterans should speak with their Mental Health or Primary Care provider about obtaining a referral.

Take the next step toward connection, reflection, and healing.
