If your strength training hasn’t changed in years… your body has already adapted to it.
And when there’s no new demand, there’s no reason for your body to change.
Progressive overload isn’t just about adding more weight.
It’s about increasing your body’s capacity.
Better control.
More tolerance.
More adaptability under load.
Because strength isn’t just what you can lift once—
it’s how well your body can handle movement, stress, and demand over time.
This matters for pelvic health too.
If your body never learns to handle more,
it stays sensitive to the same inputs.
And that’s where people plateau.
Real strength is what allows your body to do more
with less effort, less tension, and fewer symptoms.

I hear it all the time.
"I got through my exercises quickly." Ok great- but how did that serve you? Did you really feel the intention behind the movement? Did you think about how your breath played a role?
Sometimes less is more. And slower is better. Especially for pelvic pain.

Things I'd recommend to help with intimacy and prepping your body for the deed:
-Dilator training
-Diaphragmatic breathing
-Intimacy games with your partner beforehand
-Having a game plan for avoiding pain
-Pelvic floor stretches

ChatGPT can give you exercises. It can’t do this.
Be human. Be real. Talk you through problems with genuine solutions other than "do kegels." ChatGPT has never done an actual pelvic floor assessment. It doesn't know what pelvic pain feels like to you. It hasn't cried in a room with a patient who's been struggling.
