June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.

Mental health challenges can affect anyone, yet many men struggle in silence because they feel pressure to appear strong, self-reliant, or unaffected by stress.

The reality is that depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health concerns often show up differently in men than people expect.
Recognizing the signs is an important first step toward healing.

If you notice these changes in yourself or someone you care about, know that support is available and recovery is possible.

Understanding Changes Everything 💚
When someone you care about is living with a serious mental illness, it can feel overwhelming.
But taking the time to understand their experience— even just a little more— can help you show up with empathy, confidence, and care.
💡 You don’t have to have all the answers.
You just have to be willing to learn.

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a time to reflect, remember, and express gratitude for the sacrifices that protect the freedoms we value every day.
From all of us, thank you to the heroes who served and the families who carry their legacy forward.
Take a moment today to remember, honor, and give thanks.

Choose Curiosity Over Judgment 💬
Behind addiction, there is often more to the story.
When we pause and ask,
“How can I help?”
instead of judging what we don’t understand— we create space for compassion and healing.
💚 And sometimes, that makes all the difference.

It Touches All of Us 💬
Mental health touches every one of us— either directly or through someone we love.
💚 That’s why how we talk about it matters.
Let’s commit to conversations that are:
✨ Honest
✨ Compassionate
✨ Respectful
Because everyone deserves to feel seen and supported.

Words matter. 💬
The way we talk about mental health can either build connection…
or create distance.
Choosing supportive language helps people feel:
✨ Seen
✨ Heard
✨ Respected
Small shifts in words can make a big difference. 💚

Start the Conversation Early
Young people thrive when support comes early.
Creating space for open, honest conversations about mental health helps children and teens feel safe enough to speak up when something doesn’t feel right.
It doesn’t have to be a perfect conversation.
It just has to be a real one.
💡 When we talk openly, we teach young people that their thoughts and feelings matter—and that they don’t have to face challenges alone.
💬 What’s one way you create space for open conversations?

Start with Listening
Sometimes the most important step isn’t having the right answer— it’s simply being there to listen.
Taking time to truly hear a young person’s concerns can help them feel safe enough to open up about what they’re experiencing.
💡 You don’t have to fix everything.
You just have to create space for them to be heard.
💬 When was a time listening made a difference for you or someone you love?

Sometimes You Just Know Something Feels Different
Parents and caregivers are often the first to notice when something isn’t quite right.
Changes in mood, sleep, appetite, or behavior can be early signs a young person may need support.
💡 Trust your instincts. Start the conversation. Listen without judgment.
Early support can make a lasting difference.
💬 What’s something you’ve learned to pay attention to?

It’s Not Just a Habit
Sometimes what looks like a “bad habit”…
is actually someone trying to cope.
More than 1 in 4 adults with serious mental health conditions also experience substance use challenges.
These aren’t separate stories.
They’re deeply connected.
And healing happens when we treat the whole person—not just one piece of the struggle.
💬 What do you wish people better understood about mental health and substance use?
