Every time a family reaches out in the first weeks or months of pregnancy and says, “We want you to walk this journey with us,” I’m humbled.

Pregnancy is such a vulnerable season, and choosing your birth doula isn’t a small decision. You’re inviting someone into one of the most intimate and life-changing moments of your family’s story. That kind of trust is something I never take lightly.

To every family that has already secured their spot with me, even those due in 2027… thank you.

Thank you for believing in the vision of Sincerely, The Village Doula and for allowing me the privilege of serving your growing family.

Seeing my calendar fill so far in advance reminds me that this work is bigger than me. It’s about building relationships, restoring confidence, and making sure no family has to walk this journey alone.

From the bottom of my heart… thank you. I can’t wait to meet every new little life that’s already on my calendar. 🤍

“Building Back the Village, One Family at a Time.” 💛

Some journeys begin with joy. Others are marked by unimaginable loss.

If you’ve experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss, you deserve compassionate support not just in the moment, but in the days and weeks that follow.

As a Bereavement & Loss Doula, I provide a safe space to grieve, process, honor your baby’s life, and navigate the practical and emotional decisions that come with loss. Whether you need support at the hospital, someone to advocate for you, help creating meaningful memories, or simply someone to sit beside you in the silence, you don’t have to carry this alone.

Grief has no timeline, and there is no “right” way to mourn. Wherever you are in your journey, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, dignity, and care.

🤍 In-person support throughout Northeast Pennsylvania
🤍 Virtual support available nationwide

When you’re ready, we’re here.

Today wasn’t just about learning how to become a doula, it was about discovering the kind of doula each of them wants to be. 🤍

Today we talked about:
✨ Choosing the right doula training program
✨ Scholarships and affordable pathways into birth work
✨ The many different types of doulas
✨ Creating a DIY birth doula package
✨ How to price your services based on your experience
✨ Charging your worth with confidence
✨ Fears that come with birth work
✨ Healthy boundaries as a birth worker
✨ Branding, logos, and building a business that reflects you

One of my favorite activities was our “Explore Your Doula Path” exercise. Instead of telling them who they should become, I challenged them to think about who they already are.

Who do you want to serve?
What are your values?
What are your fears?
What skills do you want to develop?
What dreams do you have for your future business?

There are so many ways to be a doula, and no two journeys have to look the same.

Watching these young women dream, ask hard questions, and begin creating a vision for themselves reminded me exactly why I started this mentorship. Birth work isn’t just about supporting babies into the world, it’s about raising up the next generation of compassionate professionals who will support families with confidence, knowledge, and heart.

Building back the village doesn’t stop with mothers. It starts by investing in the people who will one day serve them. 💛

One of the most powerful moments of my first labor wasn’t an epidural, a medication, or a medical procedure.

It was a hug.

After hours of labor, 36 to be exact… I was exhausted. Physically. Emotionally. Mentally.

I remember looking at my nurse and asking, “Can I have a hug?”

She didn’t hesitate.

She wrapped her arms around me, and for just a moment, I felt safe.

I felt seen.

I felt like someone understood that I wasn’t just a patient in a hospital room. I was a young woman doing one of the hardest things I’d ever done.

That hug didn’t make my contractions disappear.

It didn’t magically shorten my labor.

But it gave me something I desperately needed: comfort, reassurance, and the strength to keep going.

I carried that feeling with me through the rest of my labor.

It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about birth work today.

People often ask what a doula does.

Sometimes we help with positioning.
Sometimes we offer education.
Sometimes we advocate.
Sometimes we simply remind a mother that she isn’t alone. And I have given hugs and snuggles upon request.

never underestimate the power of feeling safe, supported, and cared for during birth.

Sometimes the smallest act of compassion becomes the moment a mother remembers for the rest of her life.

I’ll never forget that nurse.

She may not remember giving me that hug.

But I’ll remember receiving it forever. 🤍

Me, testing one of the heating packs I put in my mommy goodie bags lastnight…

Why did NONE of my moms tell me these things are basically a warm hug?! 😭😂

I have used them during labor and saw how much relief they give, but MAN!

I’ve been handing these out for months, and now I’m over here wondering if I need to keep one for myself.

Consider this your reminder: use the goodies I give you! Apparently they’re that good. 🤣

🌙 Can we talk about the nighttime scaries?

When the sun goes down, something shifts for a lot of moms.

The house gets quiet…
The distractions fade…
The baby finally falls asleep…

And suddenly your mind starts racing.

“Did I feed them enough?”
“Are they breathing?”
“Am I doing this right?”
“What if something happens while we’re sleeping?”

For some moms, nighttime brings tears. For others, it’s anxiety. For others, it’s a heavy feeling they can’t quite explain.

If you’ve ever dreaded bedtime after having a baby, you’re not alone.

Our minds are trying to protect the people we love most, but sometimes that protective instinct can become overwhelming.

If these thoughts become constant, interfere with your ability to sleep even when your baby is sleeping, feel impossible to control, or make you feel like you’re living in fear, it’s worth talking to someone. Support is available, and you don’t have to carry it alone.

Motherhood was never meant to be lived in isolation.

🤍 If you’ve experienced the nighttime scaries, let another mom know she’s not alone by dropping a 🌙 in the comments.

As The Village Baby Pantry continues to grow, I need to make an important change.

While I love serving our community, I can no longer manage pantry requests through Facebook messages, personal texts, or my personal inbox. Unfortunately, there have been situations where I’ve experienced disrespectful communication and unrealistic expectations, and I have to put healthy boundaries in place to protect both myself and this ministry.

Effective immediately, I will not accept requests for pantry assistance through direct messages.

If you need assistance, please:
📝 Complete the pantry request form, or
📧 Email [email protected]

The pantry is available on the 4th Friday of every month, and using our official process helps us serve everyone fairly, keep accurate records, and ensure no one is overlooked.

Please understand that these boundaries are not about caring less—they’re about creating a sustainable system so this ministry can continue serving families for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, volunteered, donated, and treated this ministry with kindness and respect. We appreciate you more than you know. ❤️

📢 Village Baby Pantry Reminder 📢

Just a friendly reminder that The Village Baby Pantry is held on the 4th Friday of every month.

To keep things organized and make sure everyone is treated fairly, I am no longer accepting Facebook messages, text messages, or personal requests for pantry assistance.

If you need assistance, you must either:
📝 Complete the pantry request form, or
📧 Email [email protected]

Messages sent to my personal or business inbox requesting pantry items will be directed back to these two options and will not be processed.

As our pantry continues to grow, having one centralized system allows us to track requests, communicate efficiently, and serve families as fairly as possible.

Thank you for understanding and for helping us keep this ministry running smoothly so we can continue Building Back the Village, One Family at a Time. 💙
