Sometimes the work we are meant to do finds us in unexpected ways.

Abbie recently shared that if she wasn’t in funeral service, she would probably create a cozy space where people could gather, enjoy good food, and feel a sense of fellowship and connection. Then she realized… that’s already a big part of what she loves most about serving families each day.

Helping people come together, share stories, support one another, and honor the lives of those they love is truly at the heart of what she does.

We may be Tigers through and through, but when it comes to our friends and neighbors, we're cheering just as loudly for their success. We have many friends on this talented team and couldn't be more excited to watch your incredible season continue. Your hard work, dedication, teamwork, and determination have paid off, and your community is cheering you on every step of the way.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice allows us the freedoms we hold dear each and every day.

At Colwell Memorial Home, we are reminded daily of the importance of remembering a life, honoring a legacy, and supporting the families left behind. Today, we extend our deepest gratitude to the heroes who never made it home and to the loved ones who carry their memory forward.

May we never forget their courage, sacrifice, and devotion. 🇺🇸

What was his creed?
I do not know his creed, I only know
That here below, he walked the common road
And lifted many a load, lightened the task,
Brightened the day for others toiling on a weary way:
This, his only meed; I do not know his creed.

His creed? I care not what his creed;
Enough that never yielded he to greed,
But served a brother in his daily need;
Plucked many a thorn and planted many a flower;

Eight days shy of celebrating a full century of life, she was a woman whose kindness touched so many. Known for her strawberries, love of the farm, and most of all the deep love she had for her family, her legacy will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.
