Every birth is unique, but knowing what to expect can help ease some of the anxiety. πŸ’• Here's a quick look at the stages of labor:

Stage 1: Early Labor β€” Your cervix gradually dilates from 0 to 6 cm, and contractions begin mild and irregular before becoming more frequent.

Stage 2: Active Labor β€” Your cervix dilates from 6 to 10 cm, and contractions become stronger, longer, and closer together.

Stage 3: Delivery β€” Once you're fully dilated, you'll begin pushing until your baby is born.

Stage 4: Placenta Delivery β€” After your baby arrives, your body delivers the placenta.

The Golden Hour β€” The first hour after birth is a special time for skin-to-skin bonding, meeting your baby, and beginning breastfeeding if desired.

Understanding each stage can help you feel more prepared and confident for your delivery day. ✨ Save this post to revisit as you prepare to welcome your little one!
