Button Battery Safety Awareness Day

Button batteries may be small, but they can cause serious injuries if swallowed. Keep devices with button batteries secured, store spare batteries out of reach, and check toys, remotes, key fobs, and musical greeting cards regularly.

Quick Safety Tips:
• Keep batteries locked away
• Dispose of used batteries immediately
• Teach older siblings not to share batteries with little ones
• If you suspect a child swallowed a button battery, seek emergency care right away

A few simple precautions can help keep curious little hands safe!

Summer is the perfect time for fun AND keeping growing minds active! We highly recommend participating in themed activities all summer long — from Make-It Mondays to Foodie Fridays and everything in between!

Simple, hands-on activities help children continue practicing creativity, communication, problem-solving, and other important skills while school is out. Learning can still happen through play, routines, and fun family moments all summer long!
