Our last week of speech camp was bittersweet!! This weeks theme was bug, critters, and reptiles! We are so proud of the progress the kids have made this summer! Our younger group has mastered verbally requesting and consistently expressing want and more. Several of our kiddos have gone from babbling to labeling, and a few a are putting together more words and utterances to create phrases! Our older group did amazing with the social activities and their conversation skills! Throughout the summer, they worked on proper pragmatics, turn taking, learned to work with other in a group, and even brainstormed with their peers! They are officially ready for school and we have been absolutely delighted to work with your kids this summer! Thank you for sharing them with us ❤️ We hope everyone has a great first day back and a successful year 📚✂️✏️

This week’s summer camp was all about being on the farm! We worked on sensory play with corn kernels while we searched and labeled farm animals! We worked on a barn craft where the kids worked on their painting, gluing, and cutting skills. Music time consisted of BINGO and old McDonald had a farm and of course, we can’t forget the bubbles! Our older kids had a fun game of the floor is lava along while targeting language goals, functions, and attributes! They did a great job working together as a team!

Next week is our LAST WEEK of speech camp! We have truly had the best summer with your children and have seen so much growth in each and every one of them! Some of our younger ones have made huge strides in their verbal communication, requesting with words, and turn taking! Our older kids have enjoyed being able to work on their social skills and interact with each other, brushing up on their conversation skills over the summer, and will be fully prepared for their school year! Thank you for sharing them with us! ❤️

Week 3 of Speech Camp! This week’s theme was Pirates and Mermaids! Our friends had a blast transforming into character! 🏴‍☠️ We created mermaid tail water art, dug for treasure in a colorful chia seed slime sensory activity, worked on social skills and turn taking with a few different activities, and of course lots of bubble parties!!

Join us next week for week 4! We have three more opportunities for camp before summer ends. If your child can benefit from any of the following, we’d love to see you there!

Week 2 of Speech camp was full of fun! The littles created water art and worked on colors, shapes, requesting, and beginning sounds! We had a full morning of sensory play! The big kids played a fun game where we worked on comparing and contrast, analogies, and functions! We all rocked our tie dye shirts and the kids loved matching and seeing how their shirts came out!

We won’t have camp next week due to the holiday! We are open for regular speech sessions Monday through Thursday and will be closed Friday the 3rd! Our next camp will resume on July 8th! 🐠🦀

Our first day of speech camp was a success! We had a day full of giggles, sand play, water play, crafts, music, singing, dancing, ball pits, games, and tie- dye! Thank you to all of our friends who joined us today. We can’t wait to see y’all next week! 🐠🦀🐳🐡🐚
