International overdose awareness Day is coming up soon! This year we're celebrating it on August 29th 2026 at the 1907 club in Sheboygan Wisconsin. A lot of people hear the word “recovery” and instantly think it only means drugs or alcohol.

Truth is… recovery can mean a lot of different things.

Mental health.
Trauma.
Depression.
Anxiety.
Grief.
Isolation.
Trying to rebuild your life after chaos.
Trying to become somebody you actually recognize again.

That’s what Peers 2 You is about. Real community support for real people going through real s**t.

One of the newest additions to the site is now Al-Anon support resources so people affected by somebody else’s addiction can find help too. Because sometimes the people around addiction are hurting just as bad and silently carrying the weight of it every single day.

The site can help connect people to Al-Anon meetings online and in many areas even in-person meetings as well.

You do not have to go through everything alone.
And you do not have to “have it all together” before reaching out.

Support matters.
Connection matters.
People matter.

Memorial Day ain’t just about cookouts and a day off work. Today’s about remembering people that gave up everything so the rest of us could keep living our lives the way we do. Respect to every family carrying that pain today. 🇺🇸

But honestly… today also got me thinking about recovery too.

And not just addiction recovery.

Recovery can be pulling yourself outta depression.
Learning how to love yourself again.
Getting your head straight after trauma.
Trying to feel human again after years of chaos, pain, bad decisions, or just feeling mentally checked out.

A lot of us are recovering from some real s**t people never even see.

That’s why support matters.

Not judgment.
Not acting better than people.
Not kicking somebody when they’re already down.

Just real people helping real people get through life one damn day at a time.

So if you’re struggling right now, please don’t give up on yourself. Even if progress feels slow as hell, it still counts.

Seriously.
