Do you think about the water you drink?
Few think about everything that might be in it.
Depending on the source and treatment process, water can contain chlorine byproducts, pesticides, herbicides, pharmaceutical residues, PFAS (“forever chemicals”), heavy metals, microplastics, and naturally occurring radioactive elements such as radium.
Radium is a naturally occurring radioactive metal that can be found in groundwater. Over long periods of exposure, elevated levels may increase the body’s radiation burden and have been associated with health concerns affecting bones and other tissues.
With recent concerns about our local water quality, we wanted to address why we have and will continue to use distilled water. This is not a new thing for us. We have been using and educating our clients on distilled water for years.
Distillation works by turning water into steam and then condensing it back into pure water, leaving behind contaminants, minerals, metals, microorganisms, and other dissolved substances.
For us, it’s one way to reduce our overall toxic burden and have more confidence in what we’re drinking every day.
Your body is exposed to enough stressors already. Sometimes health isn’t about adding more—it’s about reducing what doesn’t belong.
What are you doing to improve your water quality at home or work?
