The staff of Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home is honored to service the family of Lindsay Ellis.
Lindsay J. Ellis, 37, of New Brighton, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
A beloved mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend, Lindsay leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, compassion, and countless memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
Born August 2, 1989, in Jacksonville, Florida, Lindsay was the daughter of William “Bill” Ellis and Joyce T. Ellis. She spent her early years in Key Largo, Florida, where her love for the water began. She could often be found swimming in the ocean, fishing from the boat, participating in school sports, or simply enjoying every opportunity to be in or around the water.
Lindsay was a proud graduate of Coral Shores High School, Class of 2008. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University in 2015. During her time there, she completed an internship with Disney, an experience she found both exciting and rewarding. Her passion for caring for others eventually led her to pursue a career in nursing, earning her LPN and RN credentials from Columbiana Career & Technical Center in 2021. Lindsay became deeply loved and respected by her colleagues and by the many people whose lives she touched through her work.
Outside of her career, Lindsay found her greatest joy in the people she loved. Of all the roles she held in life, her most rewarding and cherished role was being a mother to her beloved son, Landon. She loved him fiercely and treasured every moment they shared.
Lindsay also loved to cook for her family and friends, often making her delicious wings and proudly showing off her skills with the smoker. Sharing food was one of the many ways Lindsay showed her love, and there was always room at her table for the people she cared about.
Lindsay was a beautiful soul with an enormous heart. She loved deeply, gave freely, and cherished not only her family by birth, but also the family she chose along the way. She had a gift for making people feel welcomed, accepted, and loved exactly as they were.
Lindsay is survived by her beloved son, Landon Chrysler; her mother, Joyce Ellis; her father, William “Bill” Ellis (Pamela); her sisters, Mandy and Kassi (Brian); and numerous cousins, extended family members, and cherished friends, including Christopher and Alison Hutchins, who held a special place in her heart.
Despite the many challenges life placed in her path, Lindsay always had a smile to give, a laugh to share, and a way of making even ordinary moments memorable. She was the kind of person who would always have a seat waiting for you—and if she had her way, that seat would probably be at a sushi restaurant.
Her absence will be deeply felt by all who loved her, but her laughter, her kindness, her love for her family, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Friends will be received on Friday, September 4th from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM at Concord Church, 285 Concord Church Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
