The smoke is expected to move into the Portland metro area over the next few days, so please take extra care if you have respiratory conditions, asthma, or other health concerns.

If you need an N95 mask, HDE has some available. Stop by our office during business hours, and we'll be happy to provide one.

Please stay safe, limit prolonged outdoor activity if the air quality worsens.

WILDFIRE SMOKE MOVES INTO PORTLAND💨

After weeks of dodging wildfire smoke in the metro & valley, a wind shift will change things up the next three days.

Wind will gust from the NORTH & EAST, carrying smoke from Eastern OR, Eastern WA and Canada. Widespread smoky skies are expected across Oregon & Washington through at least Wednesday.

Air quality could be "Unhealthy" (AQI of 150-200) at times. Breezy conditions also increase fire danger Monday & Tuesday.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our Annual I/DD Community Event last Friday! It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, fun activities, incredible community resources, and wonderful people coming together to celebrate inclusion and connection.

We are so grateful to all of our vendors, community partners, volunteers, and everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success. Your support helps create opportunities, build relationships, and strengthen our community.

We know times can be tough, and no one should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. Below is a list of free food banks and food pantries in our area to help individuals and families access nutritious food when they need it most.

If you or someone you know could use a helping hand, please don't hesitate to check out these resources. Food banks are here to support our community. There is no shame in asking for help.

Watching the Switzerland vs Colombia game today. Donny's wife, Trudy, is from Switzerland and Bryan's wife, Char, is from Colombia. So, a little rivalry going on 😂. Also, added some food from both countries!
