BLIND SPOT: Hundreds of patients are suing the makers of Ozempic, Wegovy and other GLP-1 drugs, alleging the medications caused a rare "eye stroke" linked to permanent vision loss.

The condition, called NAION, cuts blood flow to the optic nerve with no warning and no treatment. A 2024 Harvard study found semaglutide users with type 2 diabetes had roughly four times the relative risk of developing it.

Novo Nordisk called the lawsuits meritless, while the FDA says it is still reviewing the evidence and has not issued a safety warning.

Shout out to Vician.

We received a one star review on Yelp today. She reached out to the individual right away. She determined this individual was reviewing for poor treatment for a family member.
As the lyrics from a Phil Collins song goes: there must be some misunderstanding, there must be some kind of mistake…
sure enough the reviewer had our office confused with another.
Thankfully he deleted his review straight away.
And now you have that song in your head, win-win!
