As part of our Resident Spotlight Series, we’re excited to introduce Margaret Douglas. Originally from North Louisiana, Margaret made her way to Oregon in 1973 with her husband, Cecil, when his work brought their family to the Pacific Northwest. Over the years, she built a meaningful career in the medical field, while creating a life centered around family and enjoying the things she loves most.
Margaret has always appreciated life’s simple joys — spending time outdoors, tending to her garden, and curling up with a good book. When reflecting on the most meaningful chapter of her life, her answer came without hesitation: being able to watch her great-grandchildren grow and experience each stage of their lives. ❤️
This summer marks four years since Margaret and her husband made the move to senior living, and she shared that they knew almost immediately it was the right decision. Looking for opportunities to stay active and embrace a vibrant social lifestyle, they chose a place where they could continue doing the things they loved while building meaningful new friendships.
One of Margaret’s favorite parts about senior living has been the opportunity to stay active and connected. She enjoys exercise classes, spending time with friends, and can often be found joining in a lively game of bingo. We’re so grateful to have Margaret as part of our community and thankful she shared a little of her story with us. ❤️
