It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces from Raleigh General Hospital at today’s United Way Campaign Kickoff Breakfast! Our CEO, Marketing Director, Volunteer Director and members of our Board of Trustees joined community leaders to celebrate the important work United Way does every day, from helping put shoes on the feet of local children and food on families’ tables to connecting our neighbors with assistance and resources when they need them most. We were also honored to share a little about the work happening at Raleigh General Hospital and the many ways we care for our community, both inside and outside our hospital walls. This year, Raleigh General Hospital once again participated in the United Way Employee Giving Campaign, giving our team another opportunity to support the people in our area. Thank you to United Way for bringing our community together and reminding us what is possible when we all find a way to help.

Growth takes time and every step forward matters. At our latest Stroke Support Group meeting, participants explored growth, patience and healthy habits through hands-on activities. The group planted chive seeds as a reminder that progress looks different at every stage, and created custom seasoning blends while learning about foods and flavors that can support brain health. It was a great afternoon. Our Stroke Support Group meets the 4th Friday of every month. Join us for our next meeting on September 25.
