Sunshine, smiles and a little friendly competition! 🌴

Our residents escaped to the tropics for Tropical Beach Bingo recently, and what a fun afternoon it was! Our Life Enrichment team knocked it out of the park with the festive decorations, tropical drinks, beachy tunes and all the special touches. Residents even wore the colorful beach hats they made during a previous craft activity, along with their favorite Hawaiian and tropical shirts!

We are honored to be recognized with a Bedford Beauty sign from the Bedford Garden Club (The) Bedford, Ohio.🌸

A heartfelt thank you to the Bedford Garden Club for this special recognition and for all they do to help make our city beautiful. Our residents, team members, and volunteers take great pride in caring for our flowers and outdoor spaces, and it's wonderful to see those efforts recognized.

We love being part of the Bedford community and doing our small part to help keep it blooming. 💙🌺

A little creativity, a little sparkle and a whole lot of fun! 🐚✨

Our residents recently created beautiful seashell picture frames, decorating each one with their own unique mix of shells, glitter and beach-inspired touches. No two were alike, and every frame reflected the creativity and personality of its artist!

It's amazing how a simple afternoon of crafting can bring so much joy, laughter and conversation. We love seeing our residents' talents shine! 💙

Christmas came a little early at Light of Hearts Villa! 🎄❤️

Our residents had so much fun celebrating Christmas in July with a delicious lunch and festive surprises. A huge thank you to our amazing Dietary Team for once again going above and beyond... the food, creativity, and thoughtful details made the day truly special. 🎅✨

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and beloved resident, Dolores Nose. 💙

For the past nine years, Dolores has been a cherished part of the Light of Hearts Villa family. Many of you have come to know and love her through the countless photos, celebrations, activities, and moments of joy we have shared on this page over the years. Whether she was participating in an activity, attending Mass, celebrating a holiday, or simply sharing her beautiful smile, Dolores embraced life fully and brought warmth to everyone around her.

If there was an activity happening, chances are Dolores was right in the middle of it with a smile on her face. She was actively involved in the life of our community and found joy in being with others.

A woman of deep faith, Dolores was a devoted Catholic whose love for God shined through in her kindness, compassion, and joyful spirit. She had a remarkable way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved. Her presence touched residents, volunteers, visitors, and staff alike, and her absence leaves a space in our community that will not easily be filled.

This has been a difficult week for our Villa family as we mourn the loss of someone who meant so much to so many. We are grateful for the privilege of having walked alongside Dolores during these past nine years and for the countless memories she leaves behind.

Please keep Dolores and all who loved her in your prayers in the days ahead. ✨

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday, July 17, from 9:00–10:00 a.m. here at Light of Hearts Villa, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Dolores will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen. 🤍

We're excited to see the story of Vincentian Pathways shared with the broader community!

This project is about so much more than restoring gardens and walking paths... it's about honoring the legacy of the Vincentian Sisters of Charity and the generations of Lumen Cordium students who walked these grounds, while creating a place of reflection, connection, and beauty for future generations to enjoy.

We're grateful for the growing support and enthusiasm surrounding this vision and for everyone who has already joined us on this journey. Together, we're preserving history while creating new opportunities for community, stewardship and healing.

Thank you to the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland for highlighting this important work and helping share the story of Vincentian Pathways.

The path forward is taking shape, and we're excited for what comes next!! 🌿

Our residents recently enjoyed a fun afternoon creating beautiful beaded necklaces! With colorful beads and endless design possibilities, each person crafted a unique piece that reflected their own style and creativity. It was wonderful to see the concentration, conversation, and smiles around the table as everyone brought their designs to life. The finished necklaces turned out absolutely beautiful... a special reminder that creativity has no age. 💙🍃
