Starting therapy can feel intimidating.

It’s natural to have questions, uncertainties, or even fears about taking that first step. You may wonder what to expect, whether you’ll feel comfortable, or if therapy is the right choice for you.

The truth is, beginning your healing journey doesn’t require you to have all the answers. It simply requires the courage to begin.

Therapy is not about being “broken.” It’s about having a safe space to process life’s challenges, develop healthy coping strategies, and discover the tools you need to move forward with confidence.

If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, let this be your reminder that you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

Take a moment to listen to Dr. TABS as she shares encouragement for anyone considering therapy for the first time.

When you’re ready, we’re here to support you.

Caregivers spend so much time pouring into others, often without taking the time to pause, rest, and be cared for themselves.

That is exactly why the Caregiver’s Retreat was created.

Hosted by Dr. TABS, this retreat is designed to encourage, refresh, and pour back into those who so faithfully support others. From meaningful connection to rest, reflection, and renewal, this experience is all about reminding caregivers that their well being matters too.

Today, we honor fathers and father figures for the love, guidance, strength, and support they provide in so many ways.

Father’s Day can hold a range of emotions. For some, it is a day of celebration and gratitude. For others, it may bring grief, reflection, longing, or complicated feelings.

Wherever this day finds you, we want to acknowledge your experience with care and compassion.

To the fathers who continue to show up, lead, protect, provide, and love through every season, we celebrate you.

To those missing a father, grieving the loss of a child, navigating fatherhood in difficult circumstances, or carrying mixed emotions today, we are holding space for you as well.

Wishing all fathers and father figures a Father’s Day filled with peace, love, and appreciation.

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month.

Mental wellness is not just about managing challenges. It is also about building healthy habits that support your overall well being.

This month, we encourage men to make their mental health a priority by taking small, intentional steps each day.

✔ Check in with yourself honestly.
✔ Stay connected to people who support you.
✔ Make time for rest and recovery.
✔ Prioritize movement and physical activity.
✔ Seek support when you need it.

You do not have to carry everything on your own.

Taking care of your mental health is not a sign of weakness. It is an investment in your health, your relationships, and your future.

What is one thing you do to support your mental well being?

As we continue our mid year check in, remember this:

You do not have to choose between accountability and grace.

You can remain committed to your goals while also recognizing that life happens, priorities shift, and growth is rarely a straight line.

Be intentional about where you’re going.

Be gracious with yourself as you get there.

06/15/2026

As we reach the halfway point of the year, many of us are taking time to reflect on the goals, dreams, and intentions we set at the beginning of 2026.

But here’s an important reminder from Trenae:

✨ Be intentional.
✨ Give yourself grace.

Not every goal will unfold exactly as planned. Not every timeline will look the way you expected. Growth often happens in ways we don’t immediately recognize.

As you check in with yourself this week, don’t focus only on what hasn’t happened yet. Take time to acknowledge what you’ve learned, how you’ve grown, and the progress you’ve made along the way.

Your journey is still unfolding.

What’s one thing you’re giving yourself grace for as we enter the second half of the year?

When life feels uncertain, it is natural to experience stress, worry, or anxiety about the future.

While we cannot control everything, we can focus on the things within our control.

For many people, voting is one way to turn concern into action and have a voice in the decisions that impact our communities.

As early voting begins, consider taking a small step toward civic engagement and self empowerment.

Remember to care for your mental health, stay informed, and make your voice heard.

We did it! 🎉

Life Matters Wellness has been named Best Mental Health Provider in the 2026 Best of Black Baltimore Reader’s Poll.

Thank you to every person who voted, supported, referred, encouraged, and trusted us along the way. This recognition is a reflection of a community that believes in the importance of mental health, wellness, and compassionate care.

As we celebrate this win, we are also reflecting on the power of vision.

At the start of the year, many of us wrote down goals, prayed for opportunities, and imagined what we hoped to accomplish. Some of those dreams have already become reality. Others are still unfolding.

This is your reminder to keep going.

✨ What’s one win you’ve experienced during the first half of this year?

Maybe you started therapy.
Maybe you set a healthy boundary.
Maybe you launched something new.
Maybe you simply made it through a difficult season.

We want to celebrate with you.

Sometimes caring for your mental health starts with giving yourself permission.

Permission to rest.
Permission to say no.
Permission to ask for help.
Permission to slow down.
Permission to choose peace.

This week, we invite you to pause and complete this statement:

This week, I am giving myself permission to ________.

Share your answer in the comments, or write it down as a personal reminder.

Your mental health matters, and small moments of honesty can lead to meaningful change.
