🚨 SATIRE ALERT 🚨 (Please don't call the sheriff. 😂)

BREAKING NEWS

A local woman was reportedly seen leaving a dispensary with a vehicle full of cannabis boxes.

Witnesses described the scene as "highly suspicious" after spotting dozens of KEEF boxes packed into the back of her SUV.

Authorities quickly launched an investigation...
..only to discover the boxes were being donated to the Humane Society of Harford County for the kitties. 🐈❤️📦

UPDATE: The suspect was released after investigators determined she was guilty only of excessive community service.

No charges were filed.

The cats have declined to comment.

One thing that stood out to me while reviewing Maryland's proposed cannabis regulations was the addition of a definition for "medical and therapeutic claims."

My public comment wasn't asking for less regulation—it was asking for more clarity.

As cannabis educators, our goal is to provide accurate, evidence-based information while remaining compliant with Maryland regulations.

Additional guidance or examples on how the proposed definition applies to educational presentations, workshops, written materials, and other educational content would help educators, patients, and businesses better understand where education ends and prohibited medical or therapeutic claims begin.

Public comment isn't just about opposing or supporting regulations. It's also an opportunity to ask thoughtful questions that can help make regulations clearer and easier to implement.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to participate in the process and look forward to seeing how the MCA moves forward.🌿

🌿 MAKE IT MONDAY | Technique Spotlight: Beyond Butter & Oil

Infused butter and infused olive oil are common. This week, we explored another technique by incorporating decarboxylated cannabis directly into the flour for homemade focaccia while preparing the garlic herb dipping oil with infused olive oil.

Although the finished focaccia is infused, it's important to understand the distinction:
🌾 Direct Incorporation involves adding decarboxylated cannabis directly to a recipe.
🫒 Infusion extracts cannabinoids into a carrier such as olive oil or butter before it's added to a recipe.
Understanding the terminology helps you choose the right technique for the right recipe.

For this project: ✔️ Decarboxylated cannabis was incorporated into the flour. ✔️ Infused olive oil was used in the garlic herb dipping oil. ✔️ Potency was calculated before baking to estimate the dose per serving.

At Elevated & Educated, we go beyond recipes. Private, in-home cooking instruction focuses on cannabis fundamentals, dosing calculations, infusion methods, and recipe development so you can create with confidence and intention.

Because cannabis education shouldn't stop at the dispensary.

🎒 Stuff the Bus We're collecting new school supplies all week long! Our donation box is located outside the Diva's Den Studios office during Lunar Bay Energy Health Center business hours. Help us support local students as they head back to school!

🕚 Thursday | Office Hours Stop by between 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM to chat about upcoming events, collaborations, studio rentals, or just say hello!

🎨 Thursday Evening | Summer Shore Paint Night | BYOB at Diva's Den Studios Join us from 7:00–9:00 PM for a fun and creative evening of painting, laughs, and good company. 🎨

🎸 Saturday There won't be any workshops at the Den this Saturday because we'll be out supporting our friends Decode Band Baltimore as they perform at Baltimore's Ultimate Car & Bike Fest at Fantasies Nightclub.

🚌 Now through September 11, you can drop off new school supplies in our collection box located outside the Diva's Den Studios office during Lunar Bay Wellness Center's business hours.

I'm thrilled to welcome Jah'Ree Murphy as our first recurring studio partner! Watching someone sign the inaugural rental agreement for a business I've built from the ground up is a feeling I'll never forget.
