Community Support Specialist Position

🔷Starting Wage: $18.00/hour
▪️Performance reviews every 30 days with opportunities for significant wage increases based on performance.

🔷Flexible Schedule.

🔷We're looking for someone who is compassionate, self-motivated, organized, and passionate about helping others overcome barriers and achieve their goals.

🔷This is a primarily community-based position, with a minimum of 25-30 hours per week spent meeting face-to-face with individuals in the community. The position also requires at least 5 hours each week coordinating and collaborating directly with community partners, service providers, employers, healthcare professionals, and other local resources to help individuals access the support they need.

🔷Responsibilities include:
▪️Building positive, professional relationships with individuals from all walks of life.
▪️Assisting individuals in identifying goals and overcoming barriers.
▪️Connecting people with community resources and support services.
▪️Coordinating and collaborating with community partners.
▪️Maintaining accurate, timely documentation, including service plans, progress notes, and required charting.
▪️Managing your schedule independently while meeting productivity expectations.
▪️Advocating for individuals and helping them navigate complex systems.

🔷We're looking for someone who:
▪️Is a self-starter and works well independently.
▪️Is comfortable talking with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
▪️Has excellent communication and organizational skills.
▪️Can think critically and solve problems creatively.
▪️Is dependable, professional, and adaptable.
▪️Is comfortable working both in the office and throughout the community.
▪️Is comfortable in community outreach in many different locations, and terrains.
▪️Has a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.

Announcement 📣

Behavioral health work can be challenging. A lot of the time, that is not because of the person we are helping. It’s because we get to work with such amazing humans who don’t always realize just how amazing they are.

We will stand beside you no matter how low your low is.

We will be a listening ear.
A voice of reason.
A cheerleader.

If I have ever worked with you — I remember your story. I think about you and where your journey has taken you. I smile when I see individuals out in the community, accomplishing goals and building the life they once hoped for. Behavioral health is funny because we are not allowed to say ‘hi’ first in public without the individual acknowledging us first—- but we see you.

This week has been incredibly impactful, and I wanted to share.

Someone came in and said,
“I never told you thank you for saving my life.” While we are thinking ‘thank you for letting us be a part of your journey”

I am not sharing this for praise or to highlight our agency. I am sharing this because I know people read social media, and I want people to know just how proud we are of them. I want people to know that they are seen. That their progress matters. And that moments like this help keep us going on the hard days too.

I have had so many individuals share updates on their lives just in the past week. I wish I could share even more stories but we always want to protect confidentially.

If you think this may be about you and how proud we are—- you are probably correct.

✨ 4 people are passing college classes at the honors level.
✨ Several people are about to graduate college.
✨ So many individuals have shared 30, 60, and 90 days of recovery — along with 1 and 2 years of recovery.
✨ Numerous people stopping in just to share accomplishments.

I sincerely thank you all for doing this.

“I had no hope. No purpose. Now look at me?” 🥺

If our agency has ever worked with you — even for a short time — please know that you have made an impact on us too.

We will always be here for our community during those low moments. But we also want to hear about your triumphs and victories.

You are seen. And we are proud of you.

No matter how many times you may feel like you have stumbled — we are here. Proud of you for never giving up, even on the hard days.

We are so proud of all of you and grateful that we get to be a part of your journey.

There is nothing more beautiful and motivating in this world than seeing someone gain that “spark in their eye.” 💜

A little positivity to start off our Friday. ☀️

⭐️ Community ⭐️
 we could use your assistance. Our office has an entryway in which there is a tall shelf and a clothing rack. This is used to put items the individuals could come in and take throughout any hours of the day. This includes clothing, hygiene items, and snacks. It is utilize by people of all ages and situations. Staff from other agencies are also welcome to come in and take what they need. We currently are looking for the following and you are welcome to place it in the entryway.
‼️ Coats or sweatshirts for both men and women in decent condition. We only ask that they are clean.
‼️ hand warmers and foot warmers
‼️ ponchos
‼️ Umbrellas
‼️ Lice spray and shampoo
‼️ snacks such as cup of noodles, and easy to open items.

The Youth Connection has a posting that they are looking for items as well.

Community Lifeline needs the following

‼️ Creamer and sugar hats gloves hand warmers.

On Wednesday January 21, 2026 there will be an amazing resource fair taking place at 1212 Connection street in Shelton. It will be from 1PM-3PM.

The resource fair is hosted by North Mason Fire Authority, Youth Connection and faith Lutheran church. There will be so many amazing resources and opportunities to connect with local faces.
