“Hello friend,

NPRA (National Peer Recovery Alliance) is asking you to fill out this form and send it to staff and peers if possible. We all know there have been changes to the Recovery Housing environment and we would like to take a stance that is driven by the Peer voice! The more information we gather the better. We want to inform the state of what we are hearing at the street level.

Please share this link with those who do this work, have been in recovery housing, or want their voice heard.

Thank you for your support in this matter. https://forms.gle/mGbncHkxfV8h5gyr7

Your Voice Matters,

John Nimmo

NPRA - Ohio Affiliate is seeking your feedback on recent changes to Recovery housing regulations. NPRA gathers data and information from Peers and Peer supporters to talk to our lawmakers and the Department of Behavioral Health so that we can ensure that our voices are being heard. Today I signed an executive order that brings the authority to certify recovery housing under the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health. The recovery housing industry has seen significant growth over the last four years making oversight and regulation very difficult. Today we make sure these houses are operating free from potential fraud, waste, and abuse, and providing quality, safe living conditions for those who are on their recovery journey. I would like to thank Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson and the Ohio Legislature for their support, including Justin Pizzulli, State Rep, State Representative Brian Lorenz, and State Senator Terry Johnson, who have been diligently working on this issue.

As we prepare for this year's Overdose Awareness event on August 31st, we'd like to create a memorial honoring the lives of those we've lost to overdose.

Behind every overdose statistic is a son or daughter. A mom or dad. A brother, sister, friend, coworker...someone deeply loved and deeply missed.

If you have lost someone to overdose and would like them to be remembered, we invite you to share a favorite photo of your loved one. With your permission, their photo will be included in our memorial display during the event as we pause to remember the lives, the love, and the stories that continue to matter.

If you'd like to participate, please send us:
🧡 A photo of your loved one
🧡 Their name (if you'd like it included)

You can send your photo by emailing [email protected] or by bringing it to Recovery Zone.

Together, we remember. Together, we honor. Together, we remind our community that every life mattered.
