A new era of surgical care has begun at Mary Rutan Health.
Last week, our surgical team successfully performed Mary Rutan Health’s first robotic-assisted surgery using our new da Vinci surgical system. This exciting milestone follows months of planning, training and preparation and represents another important step in bringing advanced surgical care to our communities.
Robotic-assisted surgery gives specially trained surgeons enhanced precision, control and visualization while performing minimally invasive procedures.
Depending on the procedure and individual patient, potential benefits may include smaller incisions, less pain, reduced blood loss, shorter hospital stays and a faster return to normal activities.
The da Vinci system is now being used by specially trained Mary Rutan Health surgeons for select general surgery and gynecologic procedures, allowing more patients to benefit from advanced surgical technology close to home.
We’re proud of the physicians, nurses and entire surgical team who helped bring this technology to Mary Rutan Health—and even more excited about what it means for the patients and communities we serve.
Exceptional Care. Keeping Our Communities Strong.
