Let’s take a closer look at the two, 5-star ratings we received recently based on HCAHPS survey results reported by CMS:

Only 183 US hospitals were “dual rated” in 2026—meaning, only 183 hospitals received five stars in BOTH physician communication AND nurse communication.

We are one of those facilities. There are just seven in Kansas, and nine in Nebraska, this year.

Clear communication is so important in healthcare. It lays the foundation for positive patient experiences and outcomes.

It’s not just our docs who are invested in your care. It’s our RNs, and aides, and APRNs, too—our entire medical team.

Final preparations are underway for Youth Safety Camp next week. Among the activities planned are 911 role-plays, Jaws of Life demos, and LifeVac (anti-choking device) trainings.

All activities are conducted with the help and supervision of the county’s emergency response, rescue, and management teams. So, let’s be ready! Registration is being held open for last-minute planners and, we’re told, extra youth T-shirts are available:

We’re very excited to have HOPE on Wheels rolling into Belleville on August 1st. Mark your calendars, or notify someone you love about the opportunity: FREE skin cancer, prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, and breast cancer screenings.

Curious about what’s inside the vehicle? Check out the photos from the Kansas Masonic Foundation, or follow the link below to watch a video. The mobile cancer screening unit includes a mammogram room, exam space, screening/dressing area, medical refrigerator, bathroom, and phlebotomy station.

If you are unable to pre-register for a mammogram for any reason--a filled schedule, for example--we might be able to help. Our own 3D mammo might be available. Call our diagnostic imaging and radiology department at 785-527-6064 to inquire. If you have insurance, the mammo would be billed to your insurance. If you do not have insurance, the mammo could be free to you through the Early Detection Works program (link below).
