Ninety-One Years Ago Today, America Made a Promise.

On August 14, 1935, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act, affirming that disability, illness, or hardship should never mean being left behind.

That enduring commitment has been reflected in the work of our members across ninety-one years. ACRD members continue to stand beside claimants and see the person beyond the case number.

Registration for the ACRD 2026 Tech Summit opened Wednesday morning. By that evening, we had cleared our projections for the entire first week. As of today, 100 seats remain and the firms claiming them are registering in pairs, the principal alongside the person who runs their technology. If you intend to be in the room, this is the week.

Registration for the ACRD 2026 Tech Summit opened this morning.

This is the most impactful event this association has ever produced. Over two days in San Antonio, we will present the connected technology we have spent years building for this profession, show you exactly where the Social Security Administration is headed with the people who know it firsthand, and give every firm a clear picture of what to adopt now and what is coming over the next year.

And on the morning of October 22, we will make an announcement that changes the economics of disability practice. We are not previewing it. It will be made once, from our stage to the people in the room.

And we are opening the summit differently than we have ever opened anything. I cannot name our keynote speaker yet, but I can tell you this: he is unlike anyone this association has ever put on a stage, his story made international news, and when we finish the two days that follow him, you will understand exactly why we chose him to start it. The announcement is coming soon, and it will be worth the wait.

The room itself will be worth the trip. The top firms in the country are confirming their teams now, principals and technology leaders together, which means the people you most want to compare notes with will be standing in the same exhibit hall between sessions. This profession does not gather like this often, and it has never gathered around news like this.

I know this profession has heard big promises from technology before, and I understand any skepticism, because we have felt it too. That is exactly why we are showing everything live rather than describing it, and why I would rather have you see it with your own eyes than take my word in an email. Bring the person who runs technology at your firm, spend the two days with us, and judge it for yourself. I think you will be glad you came.

One practical note, and it is a real one. The venue is deliberately sized for a working conference, not a crowd, and with the top firms registering multiple seats, capacity will not survive a wait and see approach.
