Grave clean off will be completed tomorrow. It is safe to place your fall flowers beginning Saturday. Please don’t put anything outside the vase during the mow season.

Watch out for wasps! They like to build in the vases. We all got stung during the clean off!

Total grave and vase clean off by the staff is the last week of August. Please wait to place your fall decorations in the vase until the first week of September!

Did you know the 13 folds of the United States flag each carry a special symbolic meaning?

Although the U.S. Flag Code does not officially assign a meaning to each fold, a longstanding military tradition associates every fold with values such as life, faith, remembrance, honor, sacrifice, and devotion to our country.

The final fold transforms the flag into the shape of a colonial tricorn hat, serving as a reminder of the brave men and women who fought for our nation’s independence and the generations who have continued to protect our freedoms.

At a military funeral, the presentation of the folded flag to the next of kin is one of the most powerful and emotional moments of the service. It is a lasting symbol of a grateful nation’s appreciation for a life of honorable service and sacrifice.

Today, and every day, we remember and honor those who have worn the uniform and the families who stand beside them. 🇺🇸♥️

Most people only see funeral directors on the day of a service—but there’s so much more happening behind the scenes.

Funeral directors are caregivers, planners, coordinators, listeners, and advocates. They help families navigate one of life’s most difficult moments with compassion and professionalism.

On any given day, a funeral director may be:
• Meeting with families to plan meaningful services
• Preparing and caring for a loved one with dignity and respect
• Coordinating with cemeteries, churches, clergy, florists, musicians, and veterans organizations
• Completing legal paperwork, permits, and death certificates
• Assisting with obituary writing and personalized tributes
• Arranging transportation and service logistics
• Offering guidance, comfort, and support every step of the way

Above all, funeral directors help families honor a life well lived while easing the burden during a time of grief.

It is a privilege to serve our community with compassion, dignity, and care. ♥️

A Modern Way to Honor a Life Well Lived

More families today are choosing cremation—not only for its simplicity, but for the flexibility it offers to celebrate a life in deeply personal and meaningful ways.

Cremation allows families the freedom to create a tribute that reflects the unique life of their loved one. Some choose to scatter cremated remains in a place that held special meaning—a favorite garden, a peaceful lake, or cherished family property. Others find comfort in creating a permanent place of remembrance where future generations can gather to reflect and remember.

Many cemeteries, including our local Dignity Memorial® cemeteries, offer beautiful options for lasting memorialization. From elegant columbarium niches and granite memorials to personalized benches and companion memorial markers, these spaces provide a place where family and friends can visit, share memories, and honor a life that will never be forgotten.

We also offer free ossuary placement for those who wish to have their loved one’s cremated remains placed in a permanent, dignified resting place. Ask us how this option may be right for your family.

Every life deserves to be remembered in a meaningful way. Whether you’re considering cremation or traditional burial, we’re here to help you explore every option with care, guidance, and compassion—every step of the way.
