This month, we proudly welcomed Wayne Sanner as our new Chief Executive Officer and President, as our founder, Loren Shook, stepped into the role of Executive Chairman and Founder.

For nearly 30 years, Loren led Silverado with one guiding belief: every person deserves to be treated with dignity, purpose, and love. That belief became who we are.

That legacy now moves forward. Wayne brings more than 25 years of healthcare leadership and the same commitment to the people at the heart of everything we do.

Last month, our Silverado Bellevue community came together for an unforgettable Father's Day celebration! We were thrilled to welcome the Boomer Comedian, which had everyone laughing from start to finish. With more than 100 residents, families, friends, and guests in attendance, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with joy, connection, and plenty of smiles.
To make the day even more special, our residents put their hearts into creating homemade steak rubs as thoughtful Father's Day gifts. From carefully mixing the seasonings to packaging each one by hand, they loved sharing their creations with everyone who visited.
Thank you to all of the families, friends, and community members who celebrated with us. Days like these remind us that the best memories are made when we come together. ❤️

The smile that lights up when a favorite song starts playing. The quiet smile shared between a resident and the caregiver who knows exactly how she takes her coffee. The big, full-belly laugh during a culinary class. The soft smile when a four-legged friend curls up beside her chair.

What makes Silverado different? Walk into any of our communities and you will feel it immediately. 💜

Dogs roam freely. Children visit and fill the halls with laughter. Music plays. The smell of something delicious drifts in from culinary class. Residents tend to gardens, paint, dance, and move through their day surrounded by life.

Most senior care environments feel clinical. Silverado feels like home, and that is by design. The research is clear: connection, sensory engagement, and purpose are what truly support people living with dementia. We do not treat enrichment as something extra. It is the foundation of everything we do.

Our Northwest Adventures group recently enjoyed a memorable day aboard an Argosy Cruise along Seattle’s beautiful waterfront! 🚢🌊
Residents took in stunning views of the city skyline while learning about Seattle’s rich maritime history, iconic landmarks, and the growth of our vibrant waterfront. The narrated tour also highlighted the nearby stadiums that are currently hosting matches for the FIFA World Cup, giving residents a unique opportunity to experience the excitement surrounding this historic event.
From fascinating stories about Seattle’s past to breathtaking views of the harbor, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with learning, laughter, and adventure. We are grateful for opportunities like these that help our residents stay connected to the community and continue exploring the Pacific Northwest.
