On September 1st, medication aide Sam at Hillcrest Country Estates Grand Lodge was surprised with something she had been working toward for months. A car of her own.

Sam was nominated by Hillcrest Country Estates Grand Lodge in January for the Cars for Caregivers program through the Nebraska Health Care Foundation and Chariots4Hope. She completed the required classes and on Tuesday received the keys to her first vehicle. When asked what it meant to her, Sam said one word. Freedom.

For three years Sam has served our residents with dedication and consistency, primarily in our Memory Care neighborhood. She arrives every day ready to give her best to the people who depend on her most. We could not be more proud to call her part of our team and we could not think of anyone more deserving.

Congratulations Sam. The road ahead looks bright!
