Participating in the International HIFU Immersion, taught by Michelle Meleck - Desde 2000 em Estética Avançada Meleck in Lisbon, Portugal, was far more than simply taking another course on Micro- and Macro-Focused Ultrasound or learning new treatment protocols.
It was a comprehensive training and a true revolution in the way we think about and perform HIFU treatments. An experience that expanded my clinical reasoning, grounded in anatomy, scientific knowledge, and, above all, in the understanding that every patient is unique.
Throughout the immersion, we learned that it is essential to move beyond simply reproducing standardized parameters and to change the way we have traditionally approached HIFU treatments.
More than simply following protocols, it is essential to understand anatomy, assess each patient’s individual characteristics, and make clinical decisions based on knowledge, strategy, and safety.
This experience reinforced one important belief: advancement in clinical practice happens when we stop merely reproducing what already exists and begin to understand the reasoning behind each decision, individualizing treatments with responsibility, scientific knowledge, and safety.
Without a doubt, it was a turning point in the way I understand and approach HIFU.
