One of the things Iâm most excited about as Artemis Wellness grows is finding meaningful ways to celebrate my clientsâ hard work.
As a nod to my military background, every client who graduates from care will receive one of these patches.
In the military, patches arenât just pieces of fabric. They represent belonging, identity, growth, shared experiences, and missions accomplished. When someone gives you a patch, itâs a sign of respect. Itâs a way of saying, âI see what youâve been through. I recognize what youâve overcome. Youâve earned this.â
The center of this patch features Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, wilderness, protection, strength, and independence. When I was choosing a name for my practice, Artemis stood out because she embodies resilience, courage, and the ability to navigate difficult terrain with confidenceâqualities I see in my clients every day.
The mountains on the patch are equally intentional. Since the day I became a psychologist, a sign in my office has read, âClimb Every Mountain.â It has always served as a reminderâespecially for the service members, veterans, and first responders Iâve worked withâthat hardship is not the end of the story. Mountains arenât meant to stop us. Theyâre meant to be climbed, one step at a time.
Thatâs ultimately what therapy is about. Not eliminating every challenge, but helping you discover that youâre stronger, more capable, and more resilient than you realized.
So when a client receives one of these patches, my hope is that it serves as a lasting reminder of their journeyâfrom struggle to strength, and pain to purpose.
If youâre facing a mountain of your own, Iâd be honored to help you climb it. Reach out to learn more about therapy services at Artemis Wellness.
