Optometry Clinic in Bellingham is looking for bright, energetic, mature individual to be a part of our team. The right individual would possess excellent customer service, motivated and professional with strong attention to detail. You will provide a broad range of optical and clerical service support for the Optometry Clinic.
As a member of our team your responsibilities would include:
* Design, measure, fit, and adapt lenses and frames for client according to written optical prescription or specification.
* Assist client with inserting, removing, and caring for contact lenses.
* Assist client with selecting frames.
* Measure customer for size of eyeglasses and coordinate frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescription.
* Prepare work order for optical laboratory containing instructions for grinding and mounting lenses in frames.
* Verify exactness of finished lens spectacles.
* Adjust frame and lens position to fit client.
* May shape or reshape frames. Includes contact lens opticians.
* Prepare patients for eye examinations: In-take preliminary medical histories, conduct simple vision tests; use automated instruments to make measurements for the doctor
* Order/receive contact lenses, train contact lens wearers
* Answer phones, schedule appointments, verify vision/medical insurance benefits, enter patient demographics
* Able to multitask and communicate effectively
* Organized, neat and efficient
* Adaptable to new computer software (Electronic Health Records data entry)
* Assigned billing duties/accounts receivables as needed.
* Insurance billing and verification
Relevant experience not required.
Wage DOE.
