Pennsylvania Edition: Chiro, Coffee, Church and Doc Chris.
Chiro:
Zach and Hiral have built something amazing in their small town. Their patients absolutely love them. They treat their patients like family, and you can see the joy in the clients. I giggled sitting in the lobby because patients just didn’t want to leave. Well done you two. You have created something very special.
Doc C is my go-to referral if one of my chiropractic patients moves to metro Detroit. Baby Elizabeth is in great hands! Many prayers and blessings to the Beddow family! Dat a boy Doc C. Thanks for loving and serving. You are one of the best at it.
Coffee:
The Arbor Coffee House has a great small-town vibe. The coffee is good, but the peanut butter shakes are amazing. Warren PA is a hardworking town. It was fun to sip on coffee and listen to the playful banter between old men.
Church:
If you believe he is who he says he is, is he enough? This question was asked during a sermon I was listening to on my way home from PA. What a question. If you believe he is enough, that is true in good times and bad times. I sat with that question for the 7-hour car ride back to GR. If I can be honest, I am a work in progress. I believe it to be true. Then suddenly the heart shifts. I don’t know about you, but I feel like both the wise and foolish man. My foundation is made of rock one day and sand begins to creep into the crevices the very next morning. My journey to that answer is definitely not linear and will be a lifetime process I bet. What a great question though. Simple and direct.
Pennsylvania Activates:
When I take a trip out to Pennsylvania, we always partake in great food. Hiral is an amazing cook and usually spoils us, but this time Zach took over and whipped up some amazing smashburgers on the Blackstone. We also threw some ribeye’s on the grill and put together some mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. I always enjoy cooking breakfast for them. So, Saturday morning I sautéed garlic, onions/peppers and cooked up some hashbrowns with the left-over ribeye. I mixed it all together with some eggs and cheese. Was it good? Yeppers. We broke bread, ate well, talked about God and did a little fitness.
I was able to spend quality time with Poppa Smith while the power couple worked Friday morning. He is one of the kindest and hardest working men I know. Every morning he feeds 27 female cows. He says each one of the gals has a unique personality. #1719 is always last to the feeding station. She patiently waits in the field while the other ladies rush and fight for dominance. Well done #1719. Love you pops.
Lastly, I am an official inside the house plant dad. Hiral and Momma Val brought me to the greenside. We did some plant propagating from their homes and purchased a few extra plants. In late May my friends Jolene and Vong will help me install my raised garden beds. This will be a very green spring, summer and fall. Because of the volume of plant I will be attending to, there will be no Friday clinic hours beginning June 1st. JK. But my water bill will absolutely be increasing.
Thanks for letting me have a few days off Belmont and Gun Lake patients. Let's get back at it. It looks like the weather will be pretty good. Get out and play a little. Have a greet weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to you all!
