Founded in 2005 to improve the quality of life for those in need of peer support for mental health. Heart and Soul Inc. was founded in July of 2005.

We are in our twelfth year of providing a number of exemplary programs for consumers. Our centers our strategically located throughout San Mateo County. Our goal for the self-help centers is to provide programs and activities that help people who suffer from mental illness learn to cope with their symptoms and improve the quality of their lives. Accordingly, we offer activities such as symptom man

agement (including the development and use of Wellness and Recovery Action Plans), support groups for different kinds of mental illness, life skill development groups and a variety of social activities. We believe that consumers of mental health services deserve dignity and respect as members of society. The stigma of mental illness is debilitating, unfair and should be eradicated. Consumers are capable of providing quality services and support to other consumers. By working together, consumers will have a positive impact on system services, policies and legislation that affects their lives.

Are you looking for a place to connect with your peers and looking for peer support? Look no further! Friends of Hope is a place where people are healing, friendly, and welcoming. Come play Bingo with us for prizes and stay for lunch and play a few games, color or make a bracelet. The choices are endless, but at Friends of Hope we love to be apart of keeping people in their wellness.

This past Sunday, we had an amazing day at our Annual Community Picnic!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for bingo, prizes, tie-dye, art, games, delicious food, and meaningful community connection. We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make this day special!

Heart and Soul will be tabling and walking at the Third Annual Hope Memorial Walk in Pacifica! 💜 HOPE: Healing, Overdose Prevention, and Education Heart & Soul, Inc.

Join us and our community partners as we come together to honor lives, support recovery, and celebrate hope and healing. The walk will feature powerful testimonials from people with lived experience of addiction, sharing stories of resilience, recovery, and healing.

Community resource tables will also be available, offering opportunities to connect with local organizations and support services.

Come walk with us, connect with community, and remind one another that we don’t have to walk this journey alone. Together, we can create connection, hope, and healing.
