Sorry for the delay in posting pictures! I ensure you we are staying busy every day! Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks! I hope you enjoy ❤️ We are currently working on a science project to see if coke will turn a raw egg still in its shell into a squishy egg! 🥚 We will most definitely share our results, we have 16 hours before we can look and see!

Senior Spotlight at Hilltop 💙 | Paula and Robert Mohr are residents at Hilltop Lodge Retirement Community. The couple have been married for 48 years!

They met over the radio and were married in Great Bend, KS. The couple loves to puzzle, and plan to fill up the walls in the hallway with all their accomplishments!

Katie Jo, the new activities director, is loved by the couple. She took them to the zoo and now they think they need some peacocks.

Happy Monday everyone, we hope you had a fabulous weekend! Today was about exercises, bingo and bible study! One thing is for sure, we love coming together and having a good time. ❤️ Residents also finished up their Halloween puzzle! It’s spooky 👻

Senior Spotlight at Hilltop 💙 | "I was always a nice little girl. I remember - and I don't know why I did it - my friend was leaning back on two legs on his chair and I kicked them out and he fell. My teacher, who was a coach, saw it happen and gave me a swat... I thought many years later that I should find my friend and apologize to him. I wasn't able to find him, but I guess that shows I've got a conscience. My mom would have been proud of that."

Lila Sherlock, 82 years old, shared this and other thoughts on life with members of the media class this week, including and especially about her early years in school back in northwest Oklahoma. She particularly remembered life between Alva and Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

"Fellowship with friends is what I remember most," she shared.

Mrs. Sherlock came to Beloit originally to work in the youth center for girls. She met her husband there and they were married for 46 years until he passed away last December.

Last week we had a busy week! We always start our Mondays with a chair exercise group with PT department. We celebrated Fall with s’mores in the courtyard and that was a blast and brought up some fantastic memories. We had a Fall potluck for all staff and Fall coloring. We had bible study, bingo and Beauty shop of course and we started a Halloween puzzle. Friday we were honored with a visit from the St John’s High school media/Spanish class, they visited with several residents and also conducted a full Spanish interview with one of our own staff members! They had a lot of fun visiting with the students and teacher. Thank you again for coming up and visiting with us, we wish you the best of luck with all your classes this year. We enjoyed the cooler weather and much needed rain. We hope you are enjoying your weekend. We also had a great time with Nursing students from cloud county community college!
