Today, we’re celebrating the people who make our community so special. Our residents have spent a lifetime working, caring for their families, and contributing in countless ways—and their stories are something we’re proud to honor.

Congratulations to our August Employee of the Month, Amber Powell, CNA! 🎉

Amber has been part of the Rockland Ridge family for nearly five years. Her loyalty to our residents, her coworkers, and our community is something truly worth celebrating. She is someone we can count on, and her dependability and commitment have made a lasting impact on Rockland.

She focuses on making our residents feel safe, cared for, and comfortable. She also has a way of making their days a little more enjoyable.

We’re squeezing every last bit of summer fun out of August! ☀️

Yesterday gave us the perfect excuse to celebrate National Banana Split Day with all the toppings, sweetness, and smiles that come with it. 🍌🍨🍒

And today? We fired up the grill for a good old-fashioned summer cookout! 🌭🍔

Two days. Two very different ways to enjoy summer. And plenty of reasons to gather around the table, enjoy good food, and make a few more memories before the season changes. 💛

Today, our Admissions/Marketing Director, Cherise, and Director of Nursing, Lisa, had the opportunity to deliver a little something to our local EMS crew. This was just a small thank you for all they do for our residents and our community.

We filled a cooler with some goodies to help fuel them through their shifts. More importantly, we wanted them to know just how much we appreciate their dedication, compassion, and willingness to answer the call whenever they’re needed.

We are so grateful for the partnership we have with our local EMS team and for the incredible work they do every day. ❤️

A successful recovery is about more than therapy—it’s about feeling comfortable, cared for, and supported along the way.

"I must say it was a good experience. I was on a daily flexible schedule, the facilities were immaculate with a walk-in shower in my room. It was very tastefully decorated; meals were served three times daily, which were very appetizing. A final snack cart came by in the evening. I had daily PT workouts and was walking in days. It was always a one-on-one experience and I believe got me on the road to a quick and fruitful recovery.

Everyone would rather be at home after a surgery, but that is not always feasible. The best alternative I have found is Rockland Ridge. Whether you want a quiet, healing environment or a place to have some activities with a wonderful cuisine, clean, caring employees, I will choose Rockland Ridge."

And now, we’re getting ready to turn the page to book #8! We’re ending summer with The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand, which is a perfect pick for our next adventure. ☀️📖
