🌳 Some of the hardest things a person carries never show on the outside.

You can go to work. You can laugh with people. You can answer “I’m good” and keep moving.

And still have things buried deep inside that are hurting you.

That is something recovery has taught us at Angel’s Harbor. Changing what people can see is only part of it. Eventually you have to get underneath the anger. Underneath the addiction. Underneath the walls you built because, at one time, you needed them just to survive.

Sometimes you find pain down there that you have spent years trying not to feel.

And that is where God meets us. ❤️

Not just in the parts of our lives that look better now, but in the places we still struggle to talk about.

Because when God begins healing what is underneath, something changes in the person above it.

Some days you feel strong in recovery. 💪
Some days you don’t. 😔

Some days the win is getting through work, making the meeting, answering the phone, or just making it to bed without going back to what used to destroy you. 🤍

Those days matter too. 💯

You don’t have to be doing amazing to be moving forward. You just have to keep choosing the life you fought this hard to get back. 🥷

If today was one of those days, we’re proud of you for staying. 🩵

🌟Linda received our Most Improved award. Her growth, and willingness to embrace change is a beautiful reminder that recovery is possible for anyone who refuses to give up.

Wednesday we celebrated God’s redeeming power! Congratulations to Kelly, Kim, and Lydia on graduating from Angel’s Harbor! Each of your stories is a testament that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. Where the enemy tried to bring destruction, God brought healing. Where there was hopelessness, He planted purpose. Where there was brokenness, He is bringing restoration.
