Your joints are talking to your brain—and your brain is talking back. 🧠⚡
Chiropractic adjustments aren't simply about “putting bones back into place.”
Your joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments contain sensory receptors that constantly provide your nervous system with information about movement, position, pressure, and load. Your brain uses that information to coordinate muscle activity and control movement.
A chiropractic adjustment provides a rapid mechanical stimulus to the joint and surrounding tissues. That input can influence sensory signaling and, in turn, neuromuscular activity, reflex responses, and movement coordination.
Think of it as part of a feedback loop:
Joint input → nervous system → muscle activation → movement → new sensory input
When pain or altered movement changes that feedback, your nervous system may also change how muscles activate and coordinate. An adjustment may temporarily influence that sensory-motor system and help restore more efficient movement.
That doesn't mean an adjustment magically “realigns” your body or guarantees injury prevention. But it does highlight something important:
Chiropractic care isn't only about bones and joints—it can also interact with the nervous system that controls how you move.
