Today is the last day of Scoliosis Awareness Month. We wanted to spread some HOPE while fighting Scoliosis today. Know that there is HOPE to prevent surgery! We do an exercise and therapy based Scoliosis Treatment Program to reduce curvature as much as the body will allow, reduce pain, improve posture, and help halt progression in an effort to prevent surgery and allow you to live your best life with Scoliosis! 💚

Would you notice the signs of scoliosis?

Scoliosis can be subtle, especially in children and teens during growth.

Some signs to look out for include:

Uneven shoulders
Uneven hips
One shoulder blade more prominent
A rib hump when bending forward
Clothes sitting unevenly

Not every posture change means scoliosis, but if something doesn’t look right, it’s worth getting checked.

In 2017 Marce (our Scoliosis Rehab Assistant) started The Crooked Life Foundation to give HOPE to Scoliosis Patients in need by providing Scoliosis Activity Suits. Since then she has been able to provide over 50 suits to Scoliosis Patients in need. Thanks to her and the AMAZING donors who partner with her she currently has the funding to provide multiple suits. So, she is looking for Scoliosis Patients who can’t afford treatment, but looking for HOPE. Patients who would wear the Scoliosis Activity Suit and be committed to treatment. The charity is located in the Kansas City, Missouri area so those who want to submit their story must be able to drive to the ScoliosisKC office. A Scoliosis Activity Suit is $995, so it wouldn’t make sense for someone to spend money on a flight, rental car, hotel which would probably come close to the cost of a suit. So if you can and are willing to drive from a distance for the fitting then feel free to submit your story for consideration. Travel expenses are not covered. Recipients receive a Scoliosis Activity Suit, a fitting with Dr. Nick Weddle at ScoliosisKC, an X-ray, the opportunity to ask Dr. Nick questions about their Scoliosis, and a New Journey of HOPE! We are very excited to get some Scoliosis Warriors started on a new journey of HOPE! Visit the website to see qualifications and submit your story.

HUGE inspiration - she is the patient of the year so far with 52% correction at the young age of 83! We are so AMAZED with her hard work and accomplishment!! Her curves reduced from 17, 23 to 12, 11. She is a competitive swimmer and rocked the scoliosis treatment! This is an example that it is possible to accomplish great things regardless of age. She has redefined possible!
