Recovery is about more than healing ourselves — it’s about rebuilding, growing, and creating something beautiful together. 🌱💚

Our staff and clients came together to build this garden from the ground up, and it turned into so much more than planting flowers. It became a reminder that with patience, teamwork, support, and care, growth is always possible.

Every flower planted represents hope, new beginnings, and the strength it takes to keep showing up each day in recovery. We are proud of the hard work, connection, and positivity shared throughout this project.

Healing happens one day, one step, and sometimes one flower at a time. 🌸

Today we remember the heroes who sacrificed everything so others could have another tomorrow. Their courage reminds us that even in life’s hardest moments, hope and perseverance matter.

Today we traded groups and meetings for serves and spikes at our Staff vs. Client Volleyball Tournament! 🏐💛

The “Nice Aces” staff team may have taken home the win against the “Bumblebees,” but honestly… we all won today. Laughter, connection, teamwork, healthy fun, and recovery were the real victories.

Recovery is about more than sobriety — it’s about learning how to live, connect, and enjoy life again. Today was a beautiful reminder of that.

Thank you to everyone who played, cheered, laughed, and made memories with us. We’re proud of every single person walking this journey. 🐝✨

We are looking for Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors!

NMAWC is a 32 bed, High Intensity Residential treatment facility located just outside of Bemidji. We provide programming for men and women. We are a 60-90 day minimum, progress-based program that focuses on meeting the client where they are at.

Free STI testing is available, courtesy of Harm Reduction Sisters and UMN SPOT. Individuals who get tested will also receive a complimentary $10 gift card.

Today we’re celebrating National Pet Day and the powerful role our furry friends play in the journey of sobriety 🐾

Recovery isn’t just about healing ourselves—it’s about reconnecting to joy, responsibility, and unconditional love. Pets have a way of grounding us, offering comfort on hard days, and reminding us to stay present in the moment.

Many of you already know and love our house dog, Felony (Ellie), who has been a steady, calming presence for so many. Today, we’re honored and excited to introduce the newest member of our family—Misdemeanor (Missy)! 💛

Missy is already bringing her own unique energy, love, and a few playful antics to our space, and we can’t wait for all of you to meet her.
In recovery, it’s often the simple things—a wagging tail, a quiet moment, a loyal companion—that remind us how far we’ve come and why we keep going.

Happy National Pet Day from all of us (and our four-legged team members)! 🐶
