Did you know cataracts are one of the most common age-related vision conditions?
Most cataracts begin developing after age 40 and become more noticeable as we get older.

Common signs of cataracts can include:
👁️ Blurry or cloudy vision
🚘 Trouble driving at night
✨ Increased glare from lights
🎨 Colors appearing faded or yellowed
👓 Frequent prescription changes

The good news? Regular eye exams help monitor changes early and keep your vision as clear and healthy as possible 🤍

Meet Jerry! 😊

Jerry has 36 years of optical experience, and we’ve been lucky enough to have him as part of the White Spruce team for the past 5 years! 🤍

What he loves most about White Spruce? Being hands-on with patients, helping take care of them the right way, and creating a reason for them to keep coming back — all while being part of a locally owned clinic that truly values patient care.

Outside of work, Jerry loves fishing, hunting, golfing, spending time with family, and enjoying the outdoors and lake life here in Bemidji 🎣⛳🌲 He has two grown children, one granddaughter, and another grandbaby on the way! 😊

Fun fact: Jerry has lived in Bemidji since 2016 and quickly fell in love with the outdoor lifestyle and community here.

💧 Drink more water — dehydration can make dry eyes even worse
🌊 Contact lenses + lake water can increase risk of eye irritation and infection
🧴 Sunscreen is important… just try to keep it out of your eyes 😅
☁️ UV rays still reach your eyes on cloudy days
📱 Too much screen time can still strain your eyes, even during summer break
