Patsy Ruth Keefer

Patsy R (Bunch) Keefer was born January 29th, 1934. Patsy graduated from Holdenville High School in 1952 and soon met and married Wayne Keefer on October 1st, 1952, after his return from the War.

They eventually moved to Texas and joined Tower Baptist Church and eventually First Baptist Church of White Settlement where they remained members for decades.

Patsy and Wayne were married for 60 years. After his passing she continued her passion for mowing, feeding any animal or cat that showed up at the barn (primarily cats) up until her illness. Patsy enjoyed socializing with her many friends from church, Windows of Faith, LLL and others. Patsy very much looked forward to the next 42 game, or any other game that someone was willing to play. Patsy especially looked forward to the holiday parties which were always quite festive.

Patsy was also an accomplished horsewoman in her day and if you doubted it she would be more than glad to pull out the boxes of trophies she won along the way and share the story behind each.

Patsy was predeceased by sisters Margaret, Mary Jane and brothers Bill, Leslie and Floyd as well as her husband Wayne and son Michael. Patsy is survived by sons Bruce & wife Lisa, and Brad and grandchildren, Wyatt, Trina, Joshua, Wesly, Craig and great grandchildren.

Jonathan C. Rodriguez

Jonathan Rodriguez, 37, from Benbrook Texas, passed away on August 23, 2026. He was born on December 23, 1988, in Fort Worth to Rene and Irma Rodriguez. Jonathan graduated from South Hills High School in 2007, and stayed close to his Fort Worth roots all his life.

Jonathan was fun, loving, kindhearted and never met a stranger. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and was known for his generous spirit and caring nature. Family was very important to Jonathan, and he cherished the time he spent with those he loved.

Jonathan was a devoted Taylor Swift fan. He went to her concerts throughout the years when she was in town. Jonathan went to the Eras tour concert in New Orleans with his mother and niece, made friendship bracelets and made lasting memories with them. He was “Enchanted” that entire weekend to say the least. He loved to BBQ and made the best Guacamole.

Jonathan was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Jonathan is preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents Thomas and Herlinda Hudson, his Paternal grandparents Jose and Virginia Rodriguez, and his Uncle Thomas Hudson Jr. Jonathan is survived by his mother Irma, brother Rene Jr, sister Cassandra, niece Nevaeh and nephew Castiel, along with extended family and friends who are left to miss his kindness, laughter, jokes, hugs and warm heart. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Helen Marie Blake

Obituary for Helen Marie Blake

Helen Marie (Geick) Blake, 92, passed away peacefully on August 18th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Helen was born on September 25, 1933, in Nyack, New York. In 1956, Helen moved to Miami, Florida to accept a job as a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines. There she met the love of her life, James Blake, a navigator in the US Air Force. After a quick courtship, they began a 57-year marriage.

Helen and Jim made 11 moves while in the Air Force and lived in four different countries, including Italy, Germany and England and various states in the US before they retired in Abilene, Texas. There Helen worked as a realtor and later sold lake properties at Lake Brownwood. They moved to China Spring, TX and then Fort Worth, TX to be close to their children and their growing families.

Helen had many interests and enjoyed stained glass, gardening, cross stitching, cooking, reading, church activities, and cruising. She embraced life with curiosity and found immense pleasure in the people, places, and activities she loved.

Helen's greatest joy was her family. She was the devoted mother of five children, grandmother of 10, and great-grandmother of eight. Her family was the center of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and memories that will continue through the generations of her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Blake; her parents, Mae and Herman Geick; her mother-in-law, Gertrude Blake; her sister, Marge McCutcheon and her husband, Jim; and her twin brother, William Geick and his wife, Irene.

She is survived by her children, Cheri Whitten and her husband, Charles; Mike Blake and his wife, BA; David Blake and his wife, Melinda; James Blake and his wife, Robyn; and William Blake and his wife, Kathleen; her grandchildren, Jackson; Boston and his wife, Lauren; Matthew and his wife, Emily; Olivia and her fiancé, Colby Almond; Michelle and her husband, Tim Snook; Beau and his wife, Sarah; Bridget and her husband, William Kessel; Elliott; Travis and his wife, Alli; and Spenser; her eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at The Tradition- Clearfork Assisted Living and Memory Care in Fort Worth, Americare, and St Gabriel’s hospice staff who provided compassionate care during her final days.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Elizabeth Cramer Chapel at Arborlawn United Methodist Church, 5001 Briarhaven Rd, Fort Worth, TX on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at noon.

San Juan Banda Ramirez

In Loving Memory of San Juan Ramirez

May 23, 1977 – August 14, 2026

San Juan Ramirez, 49, passed away on August 14, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, friendships, and more than a few Dallas Cowboys heartbreaks.

He leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Wendy Ramirez, whom he adored deeply and loved with all of his heart. Simply put, she was his partner, best friend and love of his life. San Juan also leaves behind his faithful four-legged companion, Biggs, affectionately known as “Little Fat Dog.”

San Juan was a man who loved his people fiercely and his hobbies enthusiastically. He was a lover of all thing's comics, especially Marvel, and he was an avid player of Magic: The Gathering. If there was a good story, an epic battle, or a collectible card involved, San Juan was most certainly interested.

Then there were his Dallas Cowboys.

San Juan loved the Cowboys with the kind of loyalty that deserves its own award. They broke his heart far more times than they didn’t, but every season he came back believing again, with his trusty bucket of salty tears nearby, just in case. Hope springs eternal; especially for a Cowboys fan.

He was also a proud TCU Horned Frog fanatic by marriage and loved tailgating with his Horned Frog family. Win or lose, San Juan understood something important: the final score didn’t determine whether you had a good time; however, it’s the people around you who did.

Family and friends were at the heart of San Juan’s life. His love of people was evident in how he treated everyone he encountered, which also meant he was adored by everyone he met. He truly never met a stranger. His motto said everything about the way he lived: “There are no strangers, just friends I haven’t met yet.”

And San Juan meant it.

He had a gift for making people feel welcome. He could turn a stranger into a friend, an ordinary gathering into a memory, and a football loss into something worth laughing about later. His world was better because it was filled with people, but quite honestly, the lives of those people were better because they were filled with San Juan.

San Juan was preceded in death by his parents, Petra and Elpidio Ramirez, and his father-in-law, Gene Mayes, as well as his beloved dog, Wylie. Though they are no longer here, the love they gave, the laughter they shared, and the memories they created remain woven into the lives of the family they left behind.

San Juan is survived by many people who loved him: his sweet sister Corina Steele, her husband, Keith Steele, and their children, Jeremy, Lila, and Calvin, of Georgia. His mother-in-law, Linda Mayes of Cleburne; his brother-in-law, Allen Mayes, and his wife, Lorraine, of Van Alstyne, Texas; and their children Alex and Hailey Mayes of Denison; Connor and Kelsey Mayes of Van Alstyne; and Molly and Jake Mohr of Justin. His brother-in-law, Rus Mayes, and his wife, Kristi, of Godley, along with their daughter, Kenzie Mayes, and her cat Goose, of Lubbock; and his stepmother-in-law, Sandra Mayes of Allen. He also held a special place in his heart for his great-nieces, Juniper, Roosevelt, and Ellie Mayes

Unfortunately, as time moves forward, there will be an empty seat at the tailgate, a missing player at the card table, someone absent when the next Marvel movie comes out, and one less Cowboys fan yelling at the television, but there will also be stories. Lots and lots of stories. Stories that will be told with laughter before the tears arrive. Stories about his kindness, his humor, his loyalty, his dogs, his teams, his hobbies, and the way he loved his family and friends.

San Juan’s life reminds us that a life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful. It just needs to be filled with people you love, things that make you happy, a dog or two beside you, and enough hope to believe that maybe, just maybe, this will finally be the Cowboys’ year.

San Juan was deeply loved, and he will be deeply missed. But for a man who believed there were no strangers, only friends he hadn’t met yet, we like to think he’s already busy making new friends on the other side

Christophor John Wilding

Sergeant Christophor John Wilding, born December 24, 1967, went home to be with the Lord on August 7, 2026. A true Marine till the end. Chris fought a great fight. When the doctors would say, “I’m sorry, but...,” Chris would say, “Hold my beer,” and he would come home once again.

Chris served in the Army Reserve from 1984 to 1986, then joined the Marines from 1987 to 1996. He was very proud to be a United States Marine.

Chris loved to hunt, fish, and pick on his grandchildren. He loved his job as an aircraft mechanic.

Chris was preceded in death by his Granny Mary Wilding, his father, Julius Wilding, his brother Walter, and grandsons Maximus and Maddox.

Chris leaves behind to keep his memory alive, his wife of 36 years, Monica Torrez Wilding, and his sons Rolando, Ruben, and Andrew. His eight grandchildren are Emilie (Dalen) Brown, Gabriele Torres, Aliayah Torres, Jace Torres, Sylar Torres, Isabella Bailey, and Bodie Wilding. His two great-grandchildren are Asher Brown and Alivia Coble. His mother is Barbara Tahash of Caro. His brothers are Franz, Stephen, Julius Wilding, and Roger Decoster.

Chris will be missed by so many. He was a great human and an amazing man. Rest easy Marine. Your watch is ended, but your bravery and memory will stay with us forever.

Albert Lawrence Biggs

Albert Lawrence Biggs, 94, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026. He was born on September 25, 1931, in Handley, Texas, to Mendozia Mitchell and Hershel R. Biggs.

Albert was a man with a curious mind and an extraordinary ability to figure things out. He was largely self-taught and lived by the philosophy that he “didn’t know it couldn’t be done.” His natural curiosity and determination shaped both his work and the life he built. He began his career repairing televisions and eventually owned and operated his own TV repair shop. His talents and interests later led him into industrial electrical work, where he continued to challenge himself and grow professionally. He ultimately became Vice President of SIE in Benbrook, Texas.

Beyond his remarkable technical abilities, Albert was a kind and family-oriented man with a creative spirit. He enjoyed wood carving and clay sculpting, always finding a way to turn his curiosity and imagination into something tangible. He was generous with his knowledge and believed in using his abilities to help others.

Albert was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Benbrook, where he had been a part of the church family since 1978. His desire to serve others extended well beyond his community. He created a ministry through which he repaired computers and provided them to people around the world who otherwise would not have had access to them. Through this work, Albert used something he loved and was exceptionally good at to make a difference in the lives of others.

Albert’s greatest love was his wife, Nellie Biggs. Together, they shared a life filled with love, family, adventure, and travel, exploring the world side by side. They were blessed with two children, Kathy Biggs Hooper and Terry Biggs.

Albert is survived by his children, Kathy Biggs Hooper and her husband, Steven, and Terry Biggs and his wife, Laura; his brother, Kenneth Biggs; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Tommy Biggs and Calvin Biggs.

Albert will be remembered for his kindness, his endlessly curious mind, his creativity, and his willingness to use his talents to help others. He leaves behind a legacy of ingenuity, generosity, and love that will continue through his family and the many lives he touched.

Bruce Aaron Arthurs

Bruce Aaron Arthurs, 64, passed away suddenly on July 31, 2026, in Fort Worth. He was born on November 24, 1961, in Tarrant County to Martha Jean (Scribner) Arthurs and Clell E. Arthurs. He was a 1979 graduate of Western Hills High School and attended the University of Texas at Arlington.

Bruce was a man of faith. He loved the Lord, and this was reflected in his willingness to always lend a helping hand. He was a friend to all. His positivity, laughter, and one-of-a-kind sense of humor will be deeply missed.

Bruce was the supervisor for the Fort Worth Police Department's Property and Evidence Department. He took great pride in his work and was approaching his 25th year. Bruce cherished the friendships he formed with his co-workers and officers, and his FWPD family meant so much to him.

He enjoyed spending time on his and Karen's farm in Garner. He loved the land, the wildlife, fishing, and his longhorns and horses. His favorite longhorn, Big Blue, was his pride and joy. Bruce also enjoyed playing a little golf and spending time at the gun range.

He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew Donaid Arthurs; sister-in-law, Lisa Kearns Arthurs; and father-in-law, William Covington.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Karen Covington; brother, Frank Arthurs and wife Karen; daughters, Amanda Harris and husband Colin, and Ashley Arthurs; grandson, Blake Harris; nephew, Frank Arthurs, Jr.; niece, Katie Arthurs; mother-in-law, Peggy Covington; brother-in-law, Bill Covington and wife June; aunt, Dorothy Rollins; lifelong friend, Wayne Brummet; his beloved dogs, Rolo and Crissy; and an extended host of family and dear friends.

An informal Celebration of Life honoring Bruce will be held in October. Details will be shared once arrangements have been finalized.

John Maurice Smith, Jr.

John Maurice Smith Jr. passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Wellington, Texas on September 17, 1941, from parents John Maurice Smith Sr. and Jeanette Smith. John spent his early years on the farm and carried those lessons throughout his life. He graduated high school at Amarillo High in Amarillo, Texas and then joined the National Guard to serve his country. Over the years, he built a life centered on family, faith and work. John loved his family and friends and found so much joy playing guitars and singing gospel and country music with family and friends.

He loved his wife Marilyn and together they traveled all around the country taking in all the sites and as John once said, “Marilyn and I have so much fun going from one adventure to the next”.

He was preceded in death by parents, John Maurice Smith Sr. and Jeanette Smith, daughter Kimmie and son Jody. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Smith, brothers Larry and Gary Smith, sister Kim Smith Yauger, son Jeff and daughter-in-law Lisa Smith, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces and nephews.

Thomas Edward Dingman

Thomas Edward Dingman, affectionately known by many as ‘Tom” passed away on August 3, 2026.

Tom was born on December 15, 1937, in Paris, Texas to Archie Edward and Florence Dingman. Tom and his parents moved to Fort Worth, Texas when he was an infant and settled in the Lake Worth area. He grew up working alongside his father in their family business, the Dingman Propane Company.

Tom attended Trimble Tech Highschool. At the age of 18, he met and married the love of his life, Lenora Temple. They married on April 6, 1956, a love that lasted 70 years.

Soon after marriage, Tom joined the Army serving as Staff Sargent and Tank Commander during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Following his military service, Tom and Lenora settled back in Fort Worth, Texas.

Tom briefly worked in the insurance business with his brothers-in-law, Bill, Gene and Lonnie Temple. Before long, however, he discovered that his true passion was in the automobile industry where he built his career and remained until his retirement.

Tom and Lenora raised three children and were blessed with seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. To his grandchildren and great- grandchildren, he was lovingly known as “Papaw” and “Papa”-names and roles that brought him tremendous pride and joy.

Tom never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and had a gift for telling stories that brought laughter to those around him. In these last years, many of those stories centered around what mattered the most to him: his family. He especially loved spending time with his great-grandchildren watching them explore the little things in life.

Tom enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, including hunting, fishing, camping and dirt track racing with family and friends. Some of his fondest memories were made during weekends on the lake- camping and water skiing or hunting during dove season with his family and friends.

After retirement, Tom developed a passion for lawn care, not just his own. If a neighbor’s yard needed attention, Tom was known to venture over to mow the lawn himself. He took great pride in helping others.

Tom leaves us with memories of kindness, storytelling, generosity, and above all, a deep love for his family and friends that will be cherished for generations.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Edward and Florence Dingman; brother, Archie Lee Dingman and daughter, Terry Lenora Dingman.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Lenora Dingman; his three children, Tommy Dingman (Karla), Sheila Dingman Schaffer (Tony), and Michael Dingman (Kimberly). Seven grandchildren: Lacey Dingman (Danny Zincke), Kara Ruiz (Michael), Curtis Schaffer (Elizabeth), Jacob Schaffer (Courtney), Zachary Schaffer, Tate Schaffer, and Whitney Dingman-Welin ( Braden). Five great grandchildren: Karlee Zincke, Levi Dingman, Brooklyn Ruiz, Wrenlee Welin, and Carter Schaffer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
