💪 Shoulder pain doesn’t always mean you need to stop training. But how do you know when it’s okay to keep going?
For Sigi’s first Just a Tip, he breaks it down into 4 things to check before your next workout:
1️⃣ Passive Range of Motion - Can you move the shoulder through the motion without actively using the muscles?
2️⃣ Active Range of Motion - Can you perform that same movement under your own control?
3️⃣ Add Resistance - Can you perform it with some load without a significant increase in symptoms?
4️⃣ Test Capacity - Can you repeat the movement consistently without your symptoms getting progressively worse?
Passing each step can give you a better idea of what your shoulder is currently able to tolerate, and where you may need to modify your training.
And THAT was Just a Tip. 😎
