Healing Through the End of Life

Healing Through the End of Life Hello I am Leslie Bryan. www.healingthroughtheendoflife.com How will my family react to me? How will I manage the treatment? Will I survive?

I am an End of Life Doula and Shamanic Healing Practitioner, providing healing comfort, care and compassion to patients and families during life threatening illness or end-of-life. When you or a loved one become seriously ill, you face many difficult thoughts: How will I cope with this illness? It is my life's work as a Shamanic Healing practitioner to help you and/or your loved one deal with thes

e questions; to be a guide through the journey of a critical illness or the end of life; to be an adjunct to allopathic, palliative or hospice care; and to embrace the end of life journey. It is important to understand the distinction between curing and healing. Curing is the successful remedial treatment; healing is to make whole or sound, to bring to an end or conclusion. I work in the realm of healing.

I have been heartened by hearing stories from people I have talked to of good fortune that was created by this time of Covid 19. I was hoping someone was writing them down so we could remember something more than the grief of this time. Well, here are some of those stories:

How We Survive the Winter

“The most important thing is to hold that tiny spark of life, if it is in a bud, in a seed, that is our work, to hold on to life, so when spring comes back, there can be growth. If you fail at that, spring doesn’t matter,” she said. “That seems like a Covid teaching to me.”

From Morgan Leigh Ryan

I had the privilege of working alongside Leslie Bryan on Mount Sinai’s Palliative Care Unit in NYC for several years. As a death doula, her gentle, sincere and compassionate way of supporting people at the end of life was absolutely awe-inspiring to me. Some individuals truly have a gift for being a comforting presence for those who are dying, and Leslie is one of those people. She continues her end of life work from afar, specifically for COVID-19 patients who are dying alone in hospitals at this time. If you, a loved one, or friend may benefit from her healing work and support, please do not hesitate to reach out to her: https://www.healingthroughtheendoflife.com.

I have resumed writing my blog/newsletter.

Join me tomorrow for "Conversations With Karen." When I will talk about the very special End of Life work I am doing now.

Greetings faithful friends and followers, I am so delighted to be back with you after a very long hiatus, during which time I cared for both my parents through the end of their lives. Yes. There...
