💜 **Bend Chooses Kindness** 💜

Our residents were honored to partner with **Bend Chooses Kindness** to create heartfelt cards for the teachers, staff, students, and everyone impacted by last week’s heartbreaking events at Silver Rail Elementary.

Each card was made with love, care, and the hope of bringing a little comfort during such a difficult time. Our residents also created a few extra-special cards for Mrs. Becky, one of the teachers who is currently in the hospital recovering. We are sending her so much love, strength, and healing thoughts. 💌

We are reminded that kindness has no age limit, and even the smallest gestures can make a meaningful difference. We hope these cards bring smiles, comfort, and a reminder that our community is thinking of you and standing beside you.

Our hearts are heavy tonight as our community grapples with the devastating events at Silver Rail Elementary.

There are no words that can truly express the sorrow we feel for the students, educators, families, and staff impacted by this tragedy. To everyone who is hurting, frightened, grieving, or trying to make sense of what happened, please know that you are not alone.

We are holding the students close in our hearts, sending love and strength to their families, and lifting up the educators and staff who dedicate so much of themselves to caring for and supporting our children. We also extend our deepest compassion to everyone who has been affected, directly or indirectly, by this heartbreaking event.

Tonight, our entire community is grieving. May we meet one another with kindness, patience, compassion, and grace. May we give one another space to feel, to mourn, and to begin healing in whatever way we need. And may no one have to carry the weight of this day alone.

In moments like these, we are reminded that our community is more than the places we gather or the schools our children attend. We are the people who show up for one another, who offer a helping hand, who listen, who comfort, and who stand together when the world feels unbearably heavy.

Please keep Silver Rail Elementary, its students, families, educators, and staff in your thoughts and hearts tonight. And please remember to check in on one another. A simple message, a listening ear, or a reminder that someone is not alone can mean more than we know.

Sending love, strength, and heartfelt condolences to everyone grieving tonight. Our community is hurting, and we will hold one another through it. ❤️

We’re getting ready for a spooktacular time at our upcoming Community Trick-or-Treat Event! Our residents are excited to welcome little ghosts, goblins, princesses, superheroes, and all their favorite trick-or-treaters! 🍭🎃

What an amazing time celebrating Oktoberfest with our favorite people! ❤️ We’re so grateful for all the friends and family who came out, laughed, enjoyed the food, and made the night so special.

And a huge thank you to our favorite accordion player, Terry Randsted, for filling the celebration with incredible music and helping make the whole night unforgettable! 🪗🎶

We’re so proud to celebrate one of our talented residents, who recently shared their artistic skills by leading a watercolor class for fellow residents!

It was wonderful to see everyone come together, learn something new, and enjoy the creativity that makes our community so special. We love seeing our residents share their talents and inspire one another!

🇺🇸Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001 — a day that changed our nation forever.🇺🇸

We remember the lives lost, the families who were forever changed, and the brave first responders, firefighters, police officers, military members, and everyday heroes who ran toward danger while others ran away.

We remember the courage, the sacrifice, and the incredible strength that emerged from one of our nation’s darkest days.

May we never forget the 2,977 innocent lives lost. May we never forget the heroes who gave everything. And may we always remember the unity and compassion that brought our country together.

Teamwork, learning, laughter & celebrations!🎉

We packed a lot into today’s All-Associate Meeting!

Our associates teamed up to "beat the clock" in a fun team-building challenge, learned more about dementia and related illnesses, worked through a tabletop exercise to prepare for power outages and other utility failures, and celebrated our September birthdays and work anniversaries!

We loved seeing Our Values in action throughout the meeting, from teamwork and communication to supporting and encouraging one another. ❤️

A BIG thank you to everyone who joined us today, including several associates who came in **on their day off** to participate. We appreciate you and the time you invest in making our team and community stronger!
