We had a great time collaborating with .west, and observing Dr. Sabatier’s vocal cords and larynx while exercising. Here, we are using a flexible laryngoscope, that enters through the nasal passageway and looks down at the laryngeal vestibule in the throat, where the vocal cords sit. The vocal cords are like a little doorway at the top of the trachea (airway) and we want them to be wide open when you are breathing, especially during exercise. Thanks .west!

St. Charles has announced the closing of their concussion clinic as of March 1st. This is devastating to our community. They will continue to provide sports medicine for youth (including concussion care), but will no longer provide this service to adults. This will result in adults with concussions possibly not getting the care they need to recover or needing to travel long distances for specialized care.
A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head or body that causes the brain to move rapidly back and forth, stretching and damaging brain cells. This may result in mild to severe physical, cognitive, and emotional changes that can last days to years. Specialized care is important for recovery and best outcomes. …. The most common causes of concussions in Central Oregon are falls, followed by sports-related injuries and motor vehicle accidents. Due to the region’s active lifestyle, many concussions occur during outdoor recreation, including biking, skiing, and hiking. ….
