“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” (Matthew 5:8)

On Wednesday, May 13, with much prayer and many heavy hearts, we officially paused Celebrate Recovery at our church.
This ministry was so much more than a meeting. It became a safe place for healing, hope, honesty, growth, and freedom through Christ. Over the years, we witnessed lives transformed, burdens surrendered, relationships restored, and people reminded that they are never alone in their struggles.
Although this chapter has paused, we know God’s work in the lives of His people continues. Recovery is still possible, healing is still happening, and hope in Jesus remains unchanged.
We are grateful for every leader, worship team member, and participant who helped make Celebrate Recovery a family. Thank you for every prayer, every testimony, every meal served, every encouraging word, and every moment spent walking alongside one another.
While emotions are heavy, our hearts are also full of gratitude for all God has done through this ministry. Please continue praying for everyone impacted and for the journeys that continue beyond these walls.
One day at a time, by His grace. 🙌

Romans 10:13 gives us this promise: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

These words were written by the apostle Paul to the people in Rome, explaining how anyone can begin a relationship with God. Just before this verse, Paul describes trusting in Jesus—believing in Him and calling out to Him. There are no prerequisites, no religious background, no good behavior, nothing else required. It is about turning to God and asking Him to save.

At its heart, this verse is about calling out for help—admitting a deep need, a need you cannot solve yourself. And it’s about trusting that God hears and responds.

This promise is for every person.

In God’s eyes, there are no insiders or outsiders, and no one is too far gone. There is a Rescuer available to all—and His name is Jesus.

Maybe you can look back and see a time in your life when you called out to God, and He answered. But so often, there is more to the story. God loves to use people to accomplish His will. Did someone share God’s hope with you, or encourage you? Did someone show you kindness or point the way forward?

There are so many who don’t yet know about this wonderful promise of God. They don’t know that there is a Rescuer, offering salvation and new life.

This message of hope is meant to be shared. You can be the one to share it. And it can be as simple as saying: There is someone who cares and is able to save you. This promise is real. And it is for you.

Celebrate Recovery Lesson 8 – Moral

Principle 4: Openly examine and confess my hurts, hang-ups, and habits to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.

Principle 4 reminds us that real freedom begins with honesty. When we openly examine and confess our hurts, hang-ups, and habits to ourselves, to God, and to someone we trust. When we do this, we step out of the darkness and into healing.

It’s not easy to take a fearless moral inventory, but it’s worth it. God doesn’t ask for perfection; He asks for honesty and a willing heart.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” – Matthew 5:8

Tonight is about letting go of what’s been weighing us down and trusting God with the truth. You’re not alone in this journey. Healing happens here. 🙌

Lesson 7 Sponsor

Principle 4: Openly examine and confess my hurts, hang-ups, and habits to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” (Matthew 5:8)

Step 4: We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

“Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.” (Lamentations 3:40)

This step isn’t about shame—it’s about freedom.
It’s about bringing what’s hidden into the light so God can begin true healing.

You don’t have to walk this alone. A sponsor is someone who listens, encourages, and walks beside you with honesty and grace.

Let’s be courageous. Let’s be real. Let’s trust God with every part of our story.
