Focus Therapy & Performance Coaching

Focus Therapy & Performance Coaching Focus specializes in Sports Psychology Performance Coaching & Mental Health Services The difference between living life, and living life at your optimal level.

What separates the greatest of competitors? Why do some people bounce back from failure stronger than before, while others struggle to get back on track? How are some people able to move on to the next play while others mistakes end up forcing them into new ones? Why are some hurdles harder to get over than others? These may seem like sports related questions, but in reality they can be also be as

ked about life issues. You have goals and a desire to excel but you are in a constant battle in your head with that nagging voice of self-doubt. You feel stuck; like shutting down, quitting, all attempts to avoid feeling the way you do. This inner critic is common, but not helpful in becoming who you want to be. The most successful people and the highest performing athletes have learned to silence their inner critic and focus their mental energy differently. The difference in living life and living life at your optimal level is having the mental edge, the ability to remove the barriers that prevent you from performing to your highest potential. Having a mental edge can be taught, learned, and improved upon. I can help you. At Focus therapy, we work together to identify the barriers that prevent you from performing or living life the way YOU want to, and create a roadmap to help get you to your optimal self. If you’ve been paying attention to the news lately, you’ve probably seen what’s happening with social media and the growing concerns around its impact on kids’ mental health.

That’s exactly why we created SheSports Inc 💜

A safe, moderated, free app for girls ages 8–18. And no—it’s NOT social media.

Inside the app, girls get a mix of fun + meaningful content from role model college athletes and real-world experts who are there to support them. From mental health and confidence to nutrition, faith, and life advice—we’re here for it all.

Our expert network includes:
Mindy Muhle: Mental Health Expert (Embark Counseling)
Becky Meline: Sports Psychology (Focus Therapy and Performance Coaching)
Emma Kelly: Dietician & Nutritionist
Megan Fletcher: Faith (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)
Ana Bellinghausen: Life Advice – (Hurrdat Sports)

Girls (and parents + coaches!) can ask real questions and get real, trusted answers.

We’re so grateful for this growing community that’s committed to building up the next generation. 💫

If you’re a parent or coach or have a girl ages 8–18 in your life, download the app. SheSports is a place you can feel good about. 💜

Here’s a pic from the most recent session with one of the most storied women’s soccer programs in the SEC—University of South Carolina.

We focused on playing under pressure, strengthening connection, and gaining clarity around team roles. They’re holding up their Jenga pieces from one of our activities—such a fun and engaged group to work with!

Big things ahead for this team! ⚽️

I want to give a shoutout to the Emporia State Women’s Tennis Team! 🎾

I’ve had the opportunity to work with this group over the past 8 months, focusing on performing under pressure, building confidence, and strengthening attention control.

Through a mix of team sessions and individual work, it’s been incredible to watch their growth—not just as athletes, but as competitors who are learning how to handle the mental side of the game.

Proud of the work they’ve put in and excited to see it continue to show up on the court!
