Foundation of Jesus The Divine Mercy Foundation of Jesus The Divine Mercy (FJDM) seeks to provide hope and new life to hurting people, in various locations, with a focus especially on the children. This "new life" is made manifest through endeavors to meet the physical and spiritual need

s of the poor, the homeless, and the downtrodden, globally. Sharing time, talent and finances enables projects designed to encourage prayer and often introduce some villages to the precious heaven-sent gifts of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the Holy Rosary. While placing an emphasis on the vocal aspects of the prayers in the Presence of the Blessed Sacrament, we are including yet another element. We incorporate reverent, universally understood movements to the prayers thus enhancing the depth of the prayer experience, which promotes unity with God and one another. We are working with local Church leaders to distribute our Family Eucharistic Holy Hour program in various languages to respective cultures to introduce and teach about The Divine Mercy worldwide, including, but not limited to, praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy as given to Sister (Saint) Faustina. We also embrace the opportunities we encounter locally to teach and encourage our children and families to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the Holy Rosary, thus following the guidance of Our Lord (The Divine Mercy) and Our Lady (The Ark of The New Covenant), joyfully praying these powerful devotions before the Blessed Sacrament. We believe this structure will unite us with the Hearts of Jesus and Mary to bring about healing in the mystical body of Christ. The intent of our work is simple - to share the merciful love God has for all His people. We are called to be His hands, so we extend His mercy. We are called to be His witnesses, so we teach His mercy throughout the world. We ask that you join in our work to bring hope to His chosen, and ask that you prayerfully consider how you can help. DIARY OF SAINT MARIA FAUSTINA KOWALSKA: Divine Mercy in My Soul

NOTEBOOK I

+ One day Jesus told me that He would cause a chastisement to fall upon the most beautiful city in our country [probably Warsaw]. This chastisement would be that with which God had punished S***m and Gomorrah. I saw the great wrath of God and a shudder pierced my heart. I prayed in silence. After a moment, Jesus said to me, "My child, unite yourself closely to Me during the Sacrifice and offer My Blood and My Wounds to My Father in expiation for the sins of that city. Repeat this without interruption throughout the entire Holy Mass. Do this for seven days." On the seventh day I saw Jesus in a bright cloud and began to beg Him to look upon the city and upon our whole country. Jesus looked [down] graciously. When I saw the kindness of Jesus, I began to beg His blessing. Immediately Jesus said, "For your sake I bless the entire country." And He made a big sign of the cross over our country. Seeing the goodness of God, a great joy filled my soul.

REFLECTION

Scripture: But the counsel of the Lord remains for eternity, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his inheritance. (Psalm 32:11,12)

Prayer: Lord, we give You thanks for the prayers and sacrifices that Saint Faustina offered for her nation, and for Your kindness and goodness You allowed her to visibly see. We give thanks for the joy that entered her soul.

Lord, we too want to pray for our country, and for Your kindness and goodness to be over us. Help us to follow You. May we be among those who follow the path to You, and do not turn aside. May we always strive to live in such a way to be among those who experience Your blessing.

Action: Consider offering a prayer today of God's blessing upon your own nation — as Saint Faustina did.

DIARY OF SAINT MARIA FAUSTINA KOWALSKA: Divine Mercy in My Soul

NOTEBOOK I

In order to purify a soul, Jesus uses whatever instruments He likes. My soul underwent a complete abandonment on the part of creatures; often my best intentions were misinterpreted by the sisters, a type of suffering which is most painful; but God allows it, and we must accept it because in this way we become more like Jesus. There was one thing which I could not understand for a long time: Jesus ordered me to tell everything to my Superiors, but my Superiors did not believe what I said and treated me with pity as though I were being deluded or were imagining things.

Because of this, believing myself to be deluded, I resolved to avoid God interiorly for fear of these illusions. But the grace of God pursued me at every step, and God spoke to me when I least expected it.

REFLECTION

Scripture: The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me. The Lord is my helper. And I will look down upon my enemies. It is good to trust in the Lord, rather than to trust in man. (Psalm 117:6-8)

Prayer: Lord Jesus, Your grace pursued Saint Faustina, even when the people around her did not support what she was saying, and she doubted Your voice within her soul.

God, help us to listen for You and draw close to You, even when those around us might lead us to do otherwise. Let us recall from Your word that You are our helper. Let us trust in You above everyone else.

Action: Consider repeating the words in Scripture throughout today as a prayer within your heart to help you to rely on God: “The Lord is my helper. The Lord is my helper.” (Psalm 117)

REFLECTION

Scripture: Serving the Lord; in hope, rejoicing; in tribulation, enduring; in prayer, ever-willing; in the difficulties of the saints, sharing (Romans 12:11-13)

Prayer: Dear Lord, we see how Saint Faustina learned patience in her illness and physical weakness. Help us to imitate her example. When we are not feeling well, help us make an effort to be patient.

May we also have hearts willing to help those afflicted with sickness. Through prayer and action, may we willingly serve those who are sick and share in their difficulties.

Action: Consider making an effort to assist someone who is sick today, whether through prayer, a helpful action, or both.

DIARY OF SAINT MARIA FAUSTINA KOWALSKA: Divine Mercy in My Soul

NOTEBOOK I

Once I was summoned to the judgment [seat] of God. I stood alone before the Lord. Jesus appeared such as we know Him during His Passion. After a moment, His wounds disappeared except for five, those in His hands, His feet and His side. Suddenly I saw the complete condition of my soul as God sees it. I could clearly see all that is displeasing to God. I did not know that even the smallest transgressions will have to be accounted for. What a moment! Who can describe it? To stand before the Thrice-Holy God! Jesus asked me, "Who are you?" I answered, “I am Your servant, Lord.” "You are guilty of one day of fire in purgatory." I wanted to throw myself immediately into the flames of purgatory, but Jesus stopped me and said, "Which do you prefer, suffer now for one day in purgatory or for a short while on earth?" I replied, “Jesus, I want to suffer in purgatory, and I want to suffer also the greatest pains on earth, even if it were until the end of the world.” Jesus said, "One" [of the two] "is enough; you will go back to earth, and there you will suffer much, but not for long; you will accomplish My will and My desires, and a faithful servant of Mine will help you to do this. Now, rest your head on My bosom, on My heart, and draw from its strength and power for these sufferings because you will find neither relief nor help nor comfort anywhere else. Know that you will have much, much to suffer, but don’t let this frighten you; I am with you."

REFLECTION

Scripture: And behold, I am with you always, even to the consummation of the age. (Matthew 28:20)

Prayer: Lord, let us draw close to Your Heart. There, can we draw strength and power, rest and help. Whatever we may contemplate about the sufferings of Saint Faustina, or the trials and worries of our own lives, let us look today for these important words — "I am with you."

Action: "I am with you." Today, throughout the day, allow yourself to contemplate these short and powerful Words from Jesus to Saint Faustina and from the Scripture — "I am with you." Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to believe these words with all of your being — "I am with you."
