At Polk Physical Therapy, we believe the best care happens when physical therapy works hand in hand with the larger medical community.

Physical therapy can often be the solution, helping people reduce pain, restore movement, recover from injury, and sometimes avoid more invasive treatment. But we also recognize that every person’s journey is different. At times, imaging, medication, specialist involvement, or surgery may be an important part of achieving the best outcome.

Our role is not to compete with the medical process, but to be a trusted part of it. We will evaluate you honestly, communicate with your healthcare team, provide excellent rehabilitation, and help guide you toward the right next step when additional care is needed.

We hope physical therapy is the final answer for you. When it isn’t, we will continue working alongside you and your medical providers to help you move forward with confidence.

🏆 SOUTH REGIONAL CHAMPION! 🏆

In dramatic fashion Bailey Wood has won the Veterans Golf Association South Regional Championship after a TWO-HOLE PLAYOFF! ⛳️

After winning the VGA Georgia State Championship earlier this summer, Bailey advanced to the South Regional in Kissimmee, Florida, where she once again came through when it mattered most.

With the regional victory, Bailey has officially qualified to compete in the VGA National Championship!

We couldn’t be more excited for Bailey and proud to have her representing Polk Physical Therapy on the national stage.

As another school year begins, we wanted to recognize a special group of former Polk Physical Therapy observers who are taking the next step toward careers in physical therapy.

🎉 **Jonah Adams** graduated from UVA Wise and is beginning the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

🎉 **Susanna Rogers** graduated from Lee University and is beginning the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Augusta University.

🎉 **Campbell Brown** completed her undergraduate degree and MBA at Bryan University and is beginning the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at South University.

🎉 **Ashlan Crittenden** completed her undergraduate degree at Bryan University and is beginning the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Chattanooga State.

One thing they all have in common? They were all student-athletes who spent time observing at Polk Physical Therapy to learn what a career in physical therapy really looks like.

For us, this is what makes rural healthcare so rewarding. These students didn't have to leave Polk County to discover this profession, they were able to experience it right here in their own community. That exposure helped them make the decision to pursue careers dedicated to helping others move, recover, and live healthier lives.

Even more exciting, for some of them this journey represents the first opportunity to one day return home and build a career serving the community that helped shape them.

We couldn't be more proud of each of you and can't wait to see the impact you'll make in the profession. Congratulations, and best of luck this year!

Bailey may be a new face around town, but, boy, has she dove in headfirst to community involvement! Chances are she's helped you rehab if you've been in for physical therapy lately, or you may have seen her on the softball field helping coach up the Lady Bobcats and Lady Wildcats. Did we also mention she's a recent state champion in golf, winning the Veterans Golf Association Georgia State Championship a couple weeks ago?!

🏌️⛳ Bailey is more than just an amazing physical therapist... and more than just a softball coach!

After an incredible two-hole playoff, our own Bailey Wood was crowned the Veterans Golf Association Georgia State Champion, earning her spot in the VGA South Regional Championship in Kissimmee, Florida!

As if treating patients and coaching softball weren't enough, Bailey decided to add state champion golfer to the list! Her dedication, competitiveness, and work ethic show up in everything she does, both inside and outside the clinic.

Congratulations, Bailey, and good luck in Florida! We'll all be cheering you on! 🏆⛳💙
