She lived a life full of love, faith, and joy, and she leaves behind a positive impact on the lives of her family, friends, and many children throughout the years.

Having been raised in Marshall County, Teresa attended Marshall County High School. Years after graduating from high school, Teresa followed her passion for working with children and began her career in early childhood education. For nearly 30 years, she served as a teacher and director of a preschool, where her dedication and compassion to helping educate and develop children was undoubtedly felt by the countless children whose lives she touched. Teresa also served as a former President and Vice-President and current board member for the West Kentucky Association for Early Childhood Education. In April 2026, Teresa received the Nancy Lovett Spirit/Award of Excellence for Time and Dedication to Early Childhood Education.

Traveling and taking trips was another activity she always enjoyed, with one of her favorite destinations being Gulf Shores. In Memory of

Alexanderia “Ally” Jackson, 28, of Paducah, Kentucky, and formerly of Marshall County, passed away on May 29, 2026, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ally was born in Paducah, Kentucky, on April 22, 1998, and lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to the people she loved the most. Ally graduated from Marshall County High School in 2016 and later completed her training to become a certified Dental Assistant in October 2020. She went on to serve as a Dental Assistant at several dental offices in the area before devoting her life to becoming a stay-at-home mom and raising her sons.

As a child and throughout her life, Ally was always known for her fun and outgoing attitude. Her loving and carefree personality made it easy for her to create many close friendships throughout life and always be the “life of the party” wherever she went. Though she could be known for being a bit feisty at times, those closest to her will remember her for being loving, friendly, and funny, with a warmth that could brighten any room.

Ally loved spending her time outdoors, whether riding side-by-sides or taking walks and hikes in LBL. She simply enjoyed nature and being outside, making memories with the people she loved most. At the same time, she still made sure to embrace her girly side and never missed the opportunity to get her hair and nails done. Ally always took great pride in her appearance, and it was rare to ever see her out somewhere without her makeup and hair done.

More than anything else, family was the most important part of Ally’s life. She cherished every opportunity she had to spend time with her loved ones, from visiting with her great-grandmother each day, spending time with all her nieces and nephews, or being at home surrounded by all her boys. Her deep love for all children even extended to her nieces and nephews, whom she also often referred to as “her babies.”

Ally will always be remembered for her loving heart and the laughter she brought into the lives of others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the many ways she made their lives brighter. With her generous and loving spirit, Ally made the heartfelt decision to fulfill her final wish: to give the ultimate gift of life through organ and tissue donation, ensuring that she could improve the lives of others in need.

She is survived by her three sons, Jackson Driskill, Levi Driskill, and Xander Haley; her parents, Sarah Elizabeth Jackson Mullinax and Adam Mullinax of Benton; her biological father, Richard Hines; two sisters, Abby Mullinax-Reid (Charlie) of Bowling Green and Megan Hines of Paducah; one brother, Austin Jackson (Alyssa Edging) of Calvert City; her grandparents, Kathy Downs Brasher (Keith Jackson) of Union City, Tennessee, Dennis Jackson of Paducah, Debbie Russell (Steve) of Benton, Curtis Mullinax of Calvert City, Marianne Brooks of Pillowville, Tennessee, and Robert Hines of Franklin, Tennessee; her great-grandmother, Catherine Jackson of Paducah; five aunts, Victoria O’Brien (Sean) of Paducah, Morgan Campbell of Wickliffe, Kelsey Campbell of Clarksville, Ashley Young of Pell City, Alabama, and Bridget Powell (Tommy) of Benton; three uncles, Darrick Jackson (Jennifer) of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Neal Campbell of Dover, Tennessee, and Craig Russell of Gilbertsville; and nine nieces and nephews, Maci, Adalynn, Ayden, River, Ryker, Ivory, Waylon, Vada, and Ronan.

In Memory Of

John Stewart Moore passed away on May 17, 2026, at the Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, Kentucky. He was 95 years old.

John was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1931, to Walter and Henrietta Moore. The 1929 Wall Street Crash here set in motion a devastating global economic crisis, and Scotland was in the midst of it when John was born.

Scotland, as part of the United Kingdom, was brought into WWII when Britain declared war on Germany in September, 1939. John was 9 years old.

His childhood home sat a few blocks from the River Clyde. The industry on the Clyde had shifted to wartime military production, making the river a target for nightly German air bombings.

John had terrible memories of being rushed to the air raid shelter at night, and coming out in the morning to see houses of friends and relatives reduced to rubble.

With growing alarm, Britain made the decision to send thousands of children from vulnerable cities to rural areas. John was old enough to be sent with them. He worked on a potato farm and could recall some amazing stories from his time there, but he also carried the scars of his childhood throughout his entire life.

John had two younger siblings, William and Anne. William (Billy) still resides in Glasgow; Anne, her husband, and their five children moved to Ontario, Canada, where she lived until her death in 2025.

John was educated at St. Mungo’s Academy in Glasgow. From there, he entered a trade school, and chose to become a wood model and pattern maker.

After serving his mandatory two years in the British Air Force, he moved from his parents’ home to England to begin his career in the car industry.

He met his late wife, Patricia Kelly, in England, and they were married in her hometown of Arley in 1956. They had three daughters, Sharon, Annette, and Deborah.

Before making the United States their permanent home, they lived for a brief time in New Zealand. The girls thought they had a life filled with wonderful experiences.

John had a successful career in the auto industry in Detroit, Michigan. In the winter of 1982, his wife of 26 years became ill and died before the summer. She was 46 years old.

At the time of their mom’s death, Sharon had graduated from college with a degree in nursing, was married, and had a baby son.

Annette had graduated from college with a degree in civil engineering and was engaged to be married. Deborah (Debbie) was a sophomore in college. She put her education on hold for quite a long time. She married and had a daughter. When she returned to school, she graduated with a degree in Education, and continued to receive two Master's degrees in Education. John was so very proud of his girls and the women they had become. He never neglected to praise them when an opportunity arose.

John loved soccer and played from childhood into his 40’s. Then he took up golf and became addicted to the game. Simultaneously, he became a runner. At age 50, he began training and ran the Detroit Free Press Marathon at age 52, coming in right behind an older nun. He loved his golf most of all and played into his 89th year, still walking the course.

He loved to dance and sing, to tell stories of his incredible life. He loved to laugh, and he loved me. I was in the second half of his story, one that lasted 42 additional years until his death. It was not enough.

A fit, energetic lifelong athlete, John fell victim to Alzheimer’s disease in his early 80’s. It progressed slowly and viciously, stealing moments, days, and finally everything. He lost his sight to decades of glaucoma. He suffered many other physical problems, a tragedy of aging. His time had come.

He leaves behind a wife of 43 years, Kathleen Ives Moore, four children, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr is handling all of the arrangements.

There are no services scheduled at this time.
