This is the official page of the City of Benton, Parks and Recreation Department. The Parks Department page was created to facilitate the exchange of information with the public at

💚🌟 Benton, you SHOWED OUT! 🌟💚

Although it was HOT, that didn’t stop you from bringing the energy to our 9th Annual Back to School Family Glow Run! 🏃‍♀️💡🏃‍♂️

Registration completely FILLED UP, the vibes were high, and once the sun went down, everyone GLOWED! 🌟 We loved seeing so many families come out for an evening of music, inflatables, climbing, glow gear, and fun before heading into a new school year!

A huge THANK YOU to all of the vendors who joined us and helped make the night so much fun! 💚 And to Card My Yard Benton for the great signage!!

And, of course, thank you to our awesome food trucks for keeping everyone fueled throughout the evening! 😋

We also want to give a HUGE shoutout to our incredible volunteers! 🙌 From our awesome group of volunteers to everyone else who jumped in to lend a hand. Thank you for giving your time, bringing the energy, and helping everything run smoothly! 💛

And the best part? All proceeds from the Glow Run benefit Bright Futures Benton, helping support Benton students and families right here in our community. 💙🧡

Thank you to everyone who registered, donated school supplies, volunteered, participated, or simply came out to enjoy the night with us. You made our 9th Annual Glow Run one to remember! 🌟

Join the Benton Parks Cobras for the 2026–2027 Youth Wrestling season! Whether your child is new to wrestling or ready to build on their skills, this is a great opportunity to learn, compete, and be part of the team. 💪🐍

Due to excessive heat and high temperatures, Third Thursday on August 20th, 2026 has been CANCELED to keep our community safe. Stay cool and save the date for the last Third Thursday of the season on September 17! ☀️

Due to the forecasted intense heat over the next 10 plus days we have made the hard decision to cancel August 20th Third Thursday. We want to keep all of our Vendors, Food Trucks, Bands, and most importantly our citizens who love to come out and be a part of all the fun safe. Triple digit heat and even higher heat indexes that are forecast just make it a no brainer. We will see everyone in September for our Faith and Family night. Be safe out there everyone.

🏃‍♀️🏅 What an incredible season for Benton Parks Youth Track & Field! 🏅🏃‍♂️

Benton Parks hosted its annual Youth Track & Field Meet & Awards Ceremony, and we had so much to celebrate!

This summer, we had the opportunity to serve 215 families as participants learned and competed in running, hurdles, jumping, and throwing events in track & field.

And they showed up BIG at the Track Meet! 👏 We had 31 NEW RECORDS set and 2 records tied! 🎉🏆

We appreciate all of the families who participated and helped make this season such a success, and a special thank you to our sponsor, Academy Sports + Outdoors, for supporting our program!

A huge thank you to all of the players and families who joined us this summer. We loved watching these young athletes learn the fundamentals of volleyball, grow in confidence, make new friends, and have so much fun along the way!
